"Good job, bestie." Lydia praised as she took Jolene's gun out of her pocket, grinned at me and put my cell phone in her pocket as I frowned at her, hiding my happiness.

"Look," I sighed in defeat. "I am so sorry for everything, for hurting and betraying you. I know you did it to help and protect me." I lied and looked down at the bed.

"It is too late for apologizes but thank you, you're the first to admit that you were in the wrong and not me." Lydia replied, smiling at me, aiming the gun at me.

"Why is it too late? Why can't we try and move on?"

"You and your friends know too much, and I refuse to end up in a mental hospital again."

"You don't have to do this." I whispered and looked back up at her.

"Oh," Lydia responded, smirking at me. "But I want to, I have to, and you have no one to blame but yourself."

"Lydia, I never meant to hurt you, really." I responded.

"But you did, shame too because between you and Natalie, you seemed like the better friend," Lydia mumbled as she shook her head. "But I will say the downside to killing you means no more books from you. You have such a talent too, one like no other." Lydia praised.

Lydia went on this rant about how she deserved so much better in life, and I looked at her with caution.

"I mean come on, Dylan knew I only stalked him was for his own good, I mean, am I right? All the girls were staring at him, and it just drove me insane!" Lydia shouted as I saw looked behind Lydia and I saw Jolene slowly and quietly opening the door while Bree stood beside her and I had noticed Bree had a gun in her hands, both looking at me, but I stayed quiet, not trying to alarm Lydia in any way possible.

"Hey, do you want to know a secret?" I asked, stopping her little rant.

"Sure, I would love to hear one from you." Lydia answered, sounding genuinely excited about the idea.

"I am one step ahead of you, bestie!" I shouted as I kicked her hard in the chest, making her almost fall on the ground but she caught her balance quickly, not seeing Jolene and Bree and Lydia got on top of me as she grabbed at my throat, trying to choke me and saw Jolene jump on the bed and pulled her hair, stopping Lydia. Lydia kicked Jolene off the bed, and I punched Lydia in the face with my free hand and Lydia smacked me in the face in return.

"You ungrateful b--" Lydia started to say as she pushed me back down on the bed and grabbed my neck again.

"Bree now!" I shouted, interrupting Lydia and I heard a gunshot sound and closed my eyes shut as I breathed heavily.

"Is she dead?" I heard Bree ask and I opened my eyes, seeing Lydia on the bed with a gunshot wound on her head.

"I think so." I breathed as Jolene ran to my side and freed me from the cuffs.

"We need to call the cops." Jolene said as I rubbed my hand.
