Chapter 30

My vision starts to blurred from exhaustion. I fall to my side, but didn't hit the ground as someone catches me. I open my eyes weakly to see Hanasaki looking down at me with a worried gaze. I give him a weak smile and closes my eyes, as everything slowly went dark.

Yoshio P.O.V

I slowly open my eyes, realizing I'm laying on a table. I turn my head to the side to see everyone is here. But one person isn't present. I furrow my eyebrow as I turn to one of them, which happens to be Hanasaki.

"Where is Y/N?" I asked. His head snapped towards my direction after hearing my voice. His eyes widened as he stares at me. "Where is she?" I asked again, moving my body to sit up.

"Don't move... you just woke up" he said. He try to come closer to me, but my shield forbids him to. He steps back a little as he stares at me. I just give him a serious face. I turn to place my feet on the floor.

"Where... is my girlfriend?? Where is she!" I demanded. He raises his hand in surrender. I walk towards him, but still maintain a good distance so I won't hurt him by my shield.

"She exhausts her healing power trying to save you. Now, she's in the hospital..." he said. My eyes widened at what he said. He lowers his hands, looking at me with a sad gaze. "You didn't have to be in the hospital because Y/N healed you. But her condition is..." he trailed off. I stare at him worriedly.

At The Hospital

I stand by the window. I can see Y/N laying on the bed. My chest tightens painfully at the condition she's in. She have cables connected to her body and an oxygen mask on her face. Tears starts to stream down my cheeks at the sight of my girlfriend.

"Y/N... why would you do it when you know you're only going to hurt yourself" I said. I clench my hands into tight fists as my body starts trembling as I start to cry. "I'm the one who should be protecting you! Why'd you do this?!" I yelled. Pain is evident in my voice. I bit my lips as more tears escapes my eyes as I lower my head.

I lift my hand, placing it on the glass. "P-Please stay with me, Y-Y/N..." I pleaded. My voice sounded desperate as I pleaded Y/N to wake up and to not leave me. "Please, Y/N. Wake up. I c-can't live w-without you..." I cried out.

She still shows no sign of waking up. I place my forehead against the glass window. I need her to wake up. She have made a promise to me, that she will always stay with me. She promised that she would never leave me. I need her to be okay.

Days have passed since Y/N is hospitalized. She's still in the ICU, not showing any sign of waking up. As days gone by, I start to feel hopeless. But I still hold onto the last string of hope. Y/N's a strong person... she's going to wake up.

I wear the medical outfit. They finally allows visitor to come close to her. I walk to stand next to Y/N. I stare at her, before turning my gaze to her hand. I gently grab it and holds it in my hand. I lean down and places a soft kiss on the back of her hand.

"Please wake up, Y/N... you've been sleeping for too long. I miss you..." I said. I turn to look at her. Her eyes are still closed. I look down as I drop on my knees, still holding onto her hand with both of mine. I bury my face on the bedsheet as I start to cry softly.

Y/N P.O.V

The sound of crying... is all I can hear. The sound of the cry is so familiar in my ears. I know that sound anywhere. It's Yoshio... my beloved boyfriend.

'Don't cry, Yoshio... I'm okay...' I tried to say. But it only came out as a voice in my head. I need to wake up. I have to tell Yoshio that I'm okay. That I won't ever break my promise to him. My promise that I will always be with him.

I force my eyes to open. I blink my eyes a few times as I stare at the ceiling above me. The sound of crying can still be heard from my side. I turn my head to see a head with white hair. His body is trembling as he hold onto my hand desperately.

I weakly lift my free hand, gently placing it on his head. I caress his hair softly. He snap his head up and turn to look at me. I smile weakly at him, making his eyes widened. I move my hand from his head to his cheek, gently cupping it.

"I'm okay, Yoshio..." I said, wiping his tears away from his cheek. But more tears starts falling from his eyes. He quickly stands up, placing his head on my chest as he start to cry harder. I place my hand on his head. I run my hand through his soft white hair.

"Don't do that to me again..." he said, after he's finally calmed down. He pulls away to look at me. There's still tears on his cheeks. I lift my hand, gently wiping the tears away. "Promise me you won't be so reckless. I can't lose you, Y/N" he said.

"I won't... I promise" I said. He just smiles and leans his forehead against mine. I close my eyes as he closes the gap between us. I run my hand through his hair as I kiss him back.

"I love you, Y/N. I was so scared that you won't wake up. But I keep holding onto that hope that you will. Thanks for not not giving up..." he said. I give him a soft smile. He leans down, placing a soft kiss on my forehead. "Stay with me... forever, okay?" He said.

"Okay... I love you too, Yoshio..." I said. He smiles at me and leans down for a quick kiss. I smile softly at him as I caress his cheek. "I'll always be with you..." I said, making him smile happily at me. I gently pat the spot next to me, and scoots away to give him some space.

He places himself next to me. I scoot closer to his side, allowing him to place his head on my chest. He closes his eyes and drifted off to sleep. I smile and kisses the side of his head. I close my eyes, slowly drifting off to sleep.
