Chapter 29

"Nii-Chan..." I cried out. He runs his hand through my hair comfortingly. I tighten my arms around his neck as he held me close, trying his best to calm me down. I'm glad that I managed to stop myself, or I'm going to regret having hurt these people. Having them this close to me makes me sure. That... I'm not alone.

-Escaping-

Y/N P.O.V

The sound of clapping makes me pull away from Nii-Chan. I turn my head to see Fiend With Twenty Faces. He's clapping his hands while staring at us as if we're some kind of show that entertains him.

Yoshio turns his head to me, offering his hand. I place my hand on top of his, letting him pulls me to my feet. His arm went around my waist to keep me steady for a few seconds.

He gently place his hand on my side, pushing me to stand behind him. He turns and glares at the man in front of us. I feel something warm on my feet. I look down and gasp when I notice there's blood. I follow the trail and realizes it's coming from Yoshio's feet.

"Yoshio... you're hurt" I said. He turn to look at me over his shoulder. He gives me a smile, and a gentle squeeze on my hand. He's trying to reassure me that he's alright. But I'm not convince at all. I let my power flow through my hand and into his. The bleeding on his feet stops as I heal his wound.

"Thank you" he said, smiling softly at me. I just nod my head at what he said. I still feel worried for him. How did he get hurt? Did his power stops working again?

The place suddenly tilts to the side, making all of us lose our balance. Yoshio turns around and embraces me in his arms. He tries his best to protect me from the impact so I wouldn't get hurt.

He lays completely still as he seem to hurt his back from the impact. I place my hand on his cheek. "Yoshio... are you okay?" I asked. He opens his eyes and nods his head, placing his hand on top of mine.

"I'm alright, Y/N..." he said, smiling softly at me. I stare into his eyes, trying to see if he have any sign of pain. I see none, which lets me know that he's alright. I nod my head, giving him a smile. I stand up and offers my hand to him. He places his hand on top of mine, allowing me to pull him up.

As soon as he's up on his feet. He gets pulled away from me. I turn my head to see the one that did it is Fiend With Twenty faces. My eyes widened as he held Yoshio with a gun pointed at his head.

"Let him go!!" I yelled. I try to run towards him, but a hand grabs my wrist. I turn my head to see Hanasaki. I try to get him to release my wrist, but he held it firmly.

"Don't act rashly. One wrong step, he'll shoot Kobayashi. We have to think of a way..." he said, in a low tone so I will be the only one to hear. I just nod my head, as I stop struggling to get him to release his grip. Hanasaki lift his hand, revealing that he's also holding a gun. He turn the gun to point it at the man.

"Stop, Hanasaki! If you shoot, you'll risk hitting Yoshio!" I said. He turns to look at me with a look that says he's also aware of that. I can see that he's also struggling to make a choice.

"Just shoot!" Yoshio said. I turn my head to look at him. I stare at him in horror. Why'd he suddenly asked that? Is he not afraid that he's going to get hurt? Yoshio turn to me and smiles reassuringly. "It's okay. Just shoot... I won't die" he said.

But before Hanasaki could make a choice... Nii-Chan steps in and fight the man, making him release Yoshio. I rush towards Yoshio, pulling him into my embrace. I turn my head to look at Nii-Chan. He smiles at me, ushering me to get out of here with Yoshio and Hanasaki.

The three of us makes a run for it, towards the opening of the ship. We jump out of the ship. There's an ocean under us. Yoshio holds me close in his arms. I turn my head to where Hanasaki is.

He shoots the iron rope from his watch, allowing Yoshio to grab it. Hanasaki starts to move closer towards us. The three of us holds hands together as we descend towards the ocean.

An explosion separates us, sending the three of us to three directions. I hold my breath as I land into the ocean. I try my best to swim to the surface, having no experience in swimming before. Surprisingly, I'm able to swim. I turn my head around, trying to see if I can find my boyfriend and best-friend.

I notice Hanasaki swimming not far from me. I turn my head to the direction he's heading to. My eyes widened when I realize it's Yoshio. He's floating above the water without moving an inch.

"Yoshio!!" I yelled out. I quickly swim towards him as well. Hanasaki have reached him. He held his body and try his best to make sure the two of them stays on the surface.

I finally reach them. I cup Yoshio's cheeks in my hands. I caress his face softly. "Yoshio? Wake up... please" I said, in a pleading tone. I keep caressing his cheek, trying to get him to open his eyes. But he's not showing a single reaction. "Yoshio..." I called out again. Tears starts to stream down my cheeks.

If only I'm not being foolish. If only I listened to them and wait until we came up with a plan to save Nii-Chan. If I hadn't gone off on my own. None of these would've happened. Yoshio would be alright. This is all my fault.

I turn my head when I hear a sound, noticing a ship. It's heading towards us. I notice someone standing at the front. It's Inoue-Nii and the others. I turn my head to look at Hanasaki, who smiles at me. They're coming for us. We'll get out of here safely.

Noro-Chan offers her hand to me. I grab her hand, letting her pulls me onboard. Inoue helps pulls Yoshio. I quickly rush to his side and kneels down. I place my head on his chest, making sure his heart is still beating.

I let out a sigh of relief when I can hear a soft heartbeat. But it's slow and weak. I quickly sit straight and place my hands on his chest, focusing on healing him. I feel a warm substance dripping down my nose. But I refuse to give up until Yoshio shows sign that he's going to wake up.

"Y/N. That's enough... you're hurting yourself" someone said. But I ignore whoever it is, keep focusing on healing Yoshio. I watch as his finger starts to move, making me smile happily.

My vision starts to blurred from exhaustion. I fall to my side, but didn't hit the ground as someone catches me. I open my eyes weakly to see Hanasaki looking down at me with a worried gaze. I give him a weak smile and closes my eyes, as everything slowly went dark.
