Harumi's POV

"Couldn't somebody have told me that Skylor would be on this mission too?", Kai crossed his arms,"Im out of hair gel!"he grunted.

Lloyd looked up from his phone at Kai,"Whoops", he said,"My bad." Lloyd managed to hold back his smile. Barely.

Kai huffed and Jay snorted," Lloyd's got a bone to pick with you, airhead."

Kai looked insulted,"Me? What did I do?"

Lloyd looked at him,"Nothing." He smirked.

"I think he's taking revenge for the 'hot soup',"Cole whispered, but I heard it loud and clear.

Wait—what hot soup?

"Ah", Kai said, nodding,"Understandable—reactions are always a sign."

Lloyd's eyes flared, his eyebrows arched in a clearly annoyed expression.

"Guys,"Lloyd said, standing up,"not the time—we're on a mission remember? Besides, I never take revenge for things like that, Kai." Lloyd rolled his eyes.

"Hmm...", Jay asked,"Are you sure about that?"

"Yes", Lloyd replied flatly,"Now—back to the mission."

The three of them smirked as Lloyd turned away from them.

Lloyd began to walk towards me, and he smiled. I smiled back, looking over the railing. We both stood in comfortable silence.

"What was that all about?", I started, chuckling slightly as I spoke, but his reaction surprised me.

He chuckled nervously,"You know Kai, Cole and Jay—they can be silly at unnecessary times."

My eyebrows furrowed,"And, don't mind if I ask, but what's the 'hot soup' thing?" I asked, feeling a bit of tension rising now.

Lloyd's eyes widened, and we both heard a roar of laughter.

Lloyd turned quickly back to me, his cheeks bright red.

"Go on, Jay", I heard Kai cry while he laughed,"Go, tell her!"

"No way", Jay protested,"It was Cole!"

Cole bursted out a laugh,"Don't drag me into this motor mouth."

Kai and Cole howled with laughter, only to be scolded by Nya.

"What are you guys doing?", she asked sternly," Do something useful and help PIXAL configure the locations on the Bounty's database!"

"Relax sis", Kai said in an overly smug tone,"Zane and PIX are on a roll—they're doing fine."

Nya huffed, turning away from the wheel, facing her brother. Kai's eyes widened as he slightly stepped back from her advance, a smile on his face.

"Out.Now", she said, her voice deathly calm.

Jay's eyes widened in obvious fear, and the three of them trudged away.

Lloyd and I exchanged looks and started laughing.

He then sighed, gazing grimly at the sheets of clouds laying across the pale yellow sky.

Right before we left, Lloyd called the sketchy black-mailing creep. The mysterious individual offered no response, but only said,"Interesting". And with that, he hung up. Lloyd tried calling back multiple times, but he never picked up again.

"Harumi?", Lloyd said, snapping me out of my thoughts.

I looked at him expectantly.
