Harumi's POV

"WHAT?!" We all exclaimed, ironically, even Kane and Kira had faces full of disbelief and horror.

Nadakahan blinked. His eyes darting between us all, confused,"What What?"

I glanced at the others, and they all had the same bewildered looks as I did.

Lloyd had the most disbelieved look on his face, it almost made me laugh—if not for this millennial-old Djinn who imprisoned us in his ship and was now hosting a...party?

"You're not....serious right?", Lloyd started after a minute of awkward silence,"We're your prisoners! Not your guests, and if this is a trap, then—"

"Nonsense!", Nadakhan exclaimed,"You are all merely guests who require my assistance in regaining your elemental powers! That chaining you all was merely a..method of caution. A method which I deeply regret..." Nadakhan frowned.

Though he seemed apologetic, something screamed in the back of my mind to grab Lloyd and run out of this place.

...um...and grab the others too of course, I thought in embarrassment.

"So you expect us to what?", Nya snapped, folding her arms," To act like you haven't injured us and willingly attend your party?" Nya's voice reached an octave as her anger fumed, making me grimace.

Oh boy, this was all going so so well, I thought sarcastically.

Jay stepped beside Nya, placing a hand on her shoulder,"Yeah...", he said, looking over the bemused Djinn,"This all seems...a bit..I dunno... crazy doesn't it?"

Nadakhan frowned.

"I hate to agree with this pesky ninja—but I agree, my captain,"Kira's voice cut through the piercing silence, and Jay shouted,'hey!' ,"This is ridiculous! We can't just let them waltz around our ship and enjoy—"

"And why is that, Miss Blackwood?", Nadakhan growled at Kira,"do you have anything to say more—or shall I decide that myself?" His eyes blazed.

Kira looked at Nadakhan for a minute, and closed her mouth firmly, and I could've sworn I heard the clamp of her teeth snap together. Her hair was shiny and flowed as her wavy brown curls elongated to her chest.

Her eyes glinted a darker shade of blue as she glared down at me. I couldn't felt a wave of...I didn't even know what that feeling was—well...in truth, I did know that feeling, but I couldn't feel that, could I?

Why was I...jealous?

I happened to glance at Lloyd, who was staring at Kira with his bright green emerald eyes. I looked away, feeling an aching prick inside me.

oh...right.

Maybe before I betrayed Lloyd, I would've had a chance to be with him—heck, he even gave me that as a choice. But I...

I shook myself from my lingering thoughts, they didn't help but bring that lump in my throat and the burning inside...

And Kane had a point...Lloyd couldn't be...interested in someone like...like me.

But...that didn't even I couldn't look out for him and make sure..he doesn't make any more mistakes.

Mistakes like...meeting me.
