Ninjago- "An ending is really just a new beginning"

Chapter 28

Skylor's POV

"I don't like it.", I said, smacking both my hands on the controls.

It's been almost 24 hours since we haven't heard from the ninja. Lloyd said that he would send a signal on his tracker if they needed any help but...

We haven't heard a thing from them.

Pixal frowned, as she typed multiple codes onto the controls,"That's strange—I am not able to get a signal from any of them". Her frown deepened.

"Maybe its because we're too high up in the clouds", I said,"Why don't we steady a ship a bit lower down the skyline?" I suggested.

Zane frowned,"No...we cannot risk it—and Master Lloyd insisted we keep out of view—just in case."

I frowned.

I hope Kai and the others were okay.

Even Harumi.

Though her and I haven't really...bonded with one another, I can see that she's trying her best to become better allies with the ninja. She reminded of me at one point...

But at least I was quick to change sides when I realised what bad of a mistake I was doing, but Harumi...

I guess she's still in working-in progress.

And If she betrays them again, or turns evil once again—Im not sure how Lloyd would react...

I've seen her manipulations and way of words...but lets not hope she turns against the ninja at the last minute—that would be bad. Really bad.

I focused on the task at hand, turning to Pixal, who was furiously typing.

"Pix, come on—we have to do something." I urged, my voice pleading.

Pixal looked at me, her face worried.

"What?", I asked, a nervous feeling bubbling my throat,"What is it?"

She looked back at the screen, her bright green eyes wide,"I—I don't know...I can't seem to reach them."

I placed a hand on her shoulder in reassurance. I held my communicator tightly in my ear, teeth clenched.

"Kai?", I yelled,"Lloyd! Can anyone hear me?" I voiced out desperately.

There was a buzz in the communicator—a sign.

I sighed in relief, and Pixal and Zane edged towards me.

"Guys, you scared us!", I laughed,"What happened?"

Another buzz—and we got a response, alright.

But not from the ninja. Or Harumi.

"Master of Amber", a man's voice replied," how nice to finally talk to you". He said, his voice smug.

"Who are you?", I yelled as I recovered from my surprise,"How do you know my—Where are the ninja?!" I yelled louder, my fists clenched.

I heard a click of a tongue.

"Ill answer your questions, in time", he said grimly,"But im afraid you three must stop whatever you're doing and listen to what I say right now."

Suddenly, the Destiny's Bounty's siren blared, and the whole ship flashed red. I whipped my head to see Pixal, but she looked just as surprised. Just after a second, the map on screen disappeared—and a video feed appeared. The video feed showed—the ninja...al unconscious in a circle—tied up. Zane, Pixal and I gasped.

"No!" I yelled.

Kai looked...really bad. His face was bruised, looking weak and pale. The others didn't look any better.

"Lloyd!", Zane yelled, leaning towards the screen, his eyes wide with fear,"Nya! Guys! Wake UP!"

The man laughed through the communicator,"They can't hear you, fools—they're asleep".

There was a roar of laughter heard from a distance, as if there was a crowd right behind the man.

"As I was saying..."he continued,"If you want your dear friends to live—I suggest you keep away from your little toys and Samurai weapons and anchor the ship to sea in 3 hours...or you will deeply be sorry, I mean it". He growled.

Before we could reply, the video buzzed—and the screen blacked out.

A/N--Happy Tuesday evryone! Surprise,surprise! I had the time today wheee!  I finished my Business exam and it went 0-0 and tommorow i have ICT so im so hyped!(not at all) anyways, wish me luck! Hope you liked this chapter! New style of POV, huh? I wanted to make a Harumi POV for this chapter but decided that nah--lets give some supense XD.
