Kira's POV

It was just past midday when I decided to proceed with my usual routine: At the training room.

We were ordered by Nadakhan that the ninja would not be introduced to the training arena—for...obvious reasons.

Why allow our enemies to train even more to outwit us?

..But—were they really enemies now?

A lot trespassed my mind after Lloyd had talked to me. He was desperate to help him and his friends escape from this ship. He believed that I stood a better life out there...in Ninjago.

Could it really be possible?

Nadakhan had shown Kane and I the stories and tales of the ninja, regardless how...personal they were...But was Lloyd telling the truth? Was...Nadakhan not what he seemed?

I shook my head, Focus Kira. I proceeded to sharpening my spear, the sharp gagged sharpening rock glinting in fiery colours as it met the blade.

Shink. Shink. Shink.

The door burst open, making me jump in alarm.
Kane slammed the door closed behind him, charging towards the weaponry room.

"Someone's slept on the wrong side of the bed today", I said, smirking, as I shifted my knee to get a better angle of spear's edge. Shink. Shink.

"Not in the mood Kir", my brother sighed, coming back into the room with a sword, ready to train.

"So...what's up?", he asked, as he stretched and flexed his sword arm towards the dummy.

"Oh, the bruise you gave me is getting worse if you're happy", I snarked, pointing at my cheek.

Kane flashed a look,"Kira."

I mocked his deadpanned look,"Kane."

He sighed, slumping his shoulders, until shouting in rage and stabbing the dummy to bits, the pieces of wood flying everywhere.

He sliced the dummy's head, and it rolled to my feet, The dummy's smiling face almost saying,'Help me.'

I looked back at Kane, setting the stone and the spear aside.

He was breathing heavily, gripping the sword tightly.

"Kane", I said,"Look at me."

He closed his eyes, trying to control his ragged breathing, until setting his gaze on me.
