Harumi's POV

"You know what's the best thing for us to do now?", Jay said as the guard forced him down to his knees beside me.

"Smack Kane's jaw and throw him off the ship?", Cole asked gritting his teeth as he stared at a smug-looking Kane, who paced around the ship," Because by now, he's really asking a punch to the face", Cole growled.

"Nope!", Jay's high-pitched chirp made us all look at him,"I think this calls for reflection time!" He looked at me, and I almost winced at his look. His face was bleeding pretty badly, and the tears coating his eyes took away his look of nonchalance. Poor Jay.

"Jay", Lloyd sighed, who was placed just next to Zane and Pixal, a few feet away from me,"This isn't the time—

" I think the blame of all this should go to our beloved leader,"Jay continued, shooting a glare at Lloyd, who opened his mouth agape, in shock.

"What!—"

"Let me finish," Jay said, tilting his head," If you hadn't listened to me, or Nya—", his voice broke, but he cleared his throat,"Then none of this would've happened."

"Jay", Skylor interceded gently,"Kai and Nya will make it...we have to believe that."

"If we never had to come to this place,"Jay grunted,"We won't have to worry because we won't be STUCK in this stupid ship." Jay closed his eyes tightly, as tears threatened to fall from his eyes.

My heart squeezed in sympathy.

"Oh you've got to be kidding me!", Lloyd broke the short silence,"You don't all believe that this is all my fault right?" Lloyd looked around as the others shifted, avoiding his gaze. I looked down, studying at the floor.

"Harumi?", Lloyd's gentle voice made my breath catch.

"Harumi look at me, please", Lloyd's voice was on the edge of begging now, so I turned my gaze towards him.

His eyes were full of sadness and guilt, a look of self-loathing etched on his face.

"I told you that I had a bad feeling about this", I started, staring at his anguished emerald eyes,"But that doesn't mean that this is all your fault...I didn't realise how big of a threat this teapot would succumb to—"

"Indeed!", Nadakhan's voice boomed and he was suddenly in front of me, grinning widely.

"You do realise who exactly you're holding captive, right?", I asked, keeping my cool, but on the inside, I was boiling," Not to mention...I was never on the good side before...so I suggest you stop this now—or let's find out how well bashed-up workers you'll be having in the next few minutes." I smiled, shrugging my shoulder nonchalantly.

Nadakhan fixed his fiercely ancient gaze on mine, until bellowing a laugh.

"You think you could scare me?", he challenged, raising his arms in a proud stance," A Djinn, who has much more power than the rest of you combined?!" He twirled around, gliding away from me with a smile on his face.

"I think you underestimate me, Princess Harumi", He continued, his grin unwavering.

"That makes two of us", I countered, my teeth glinting as I grinned back,"You don't know what I'm capable of. Next to me...well, you're just nothing but an Old Djinn in chains." I said quietly, my hard gaze fixed on his look of shock. It made my smirk grow.

"WHAT did you SAY?", Nadakhan loomed towards me, his teeth clenched, his smile no longer there, only anger. So much anger.
