"It'll be okay again," you said,
But I refused to believe it.
I didn't know then that you actually said the truth,
And I should never have quit.
"We will be okay again," you said.
But I did not hear it.
I was too busy planning for myself,
The pain was too much to admit.
"Everything will be fine again," you said.
But I did not listen.
The sadness coursed through my veins,
And the agony did not lessen.
Your words still echo through my mind,
Every time that I think about you.
I'm all okay now, almost everything is fine,
Except right now I just don't have you.
I was dumb to not listen to you,
Because you always spoke the reality.
I should never have left you,
You were my best quality.
