"Where have you been?!" Ya'ste scowls. "You take off without a word  then return hours later?! Don't you know how to take a mission seriously?!"
"Leave it. I'm sure he had a good reason." Zadea looks to me, his eyes boring into mine.
Of course, it was understandable that they were pissed. Zadea especially since this was his first time being put in charge. I didn't complain.
I nod to Zadea, "I do. I was...scouting the surroundings."
I could tell he didn't believe me, yet he nodded anyway. Either cuz he wanted to piss off Ya'ste, or because a part of him gave a pauk about me. He use to know my father after all.
He then stands, towering over us. We look to him in anticipation.
"Now that we're all here, let's get on with our mission." He looks to Ha'theh, "Is that tracker finally fixed?"
Ha'theh nods, holding it out in front of him, "The queen serpent isn't too far. It'll take about," he pauses to calculate, "one Earth hour to reach it."
Zadea hums, then nods. Ha'theh looks away, flustered.
"Excellent," Zadea purrs, "The sooner we can get off this rock, the better. Ha'theh, lead the way."
"M - me?" Ha'theh fumbles with the tracking device.
"Why yes. That device is your invention. Who better to lead us to the serpent?"
Ha'theh swallows, trying to hide his blushing. He quickly crams on his helmet.
"R - right away! This way!" He jumps off toward the east.
Zadea equips his spear, then leaps.
Me and Ya'ste give a knowing glance, then follow close behind.
