Last night's hunt wasn't so bad. The oomans skulls shine brightly in my claws. Better yet, I even made an honorable spare. But even still, it's not good enough. one ooman got away.
And worst, my mission is not yet finished.
That serpent is still out there. Hopefully my brothers haven't gotten to it yet. They know it's my kill.
I inhale the strangely sweet air of the planets forest ecosystem, then reapply my helmet. My heat tracker scans the canopy underneath me.
With one mighty leap, I sail through the air, through trees, then land on the earth below.
Now I must stay silent, and listen.
There's some ooman noises nearby. I recognize them as the noises they make as they die. Some loud bangs later, then silence. Then a roar.
I click in frustration, it's just one of my brothers. I bet he got all of the oomans he was tracking.
I curse and stomp in the opposite direction. I really need to kill something right now, anything.
As I head near the sound of rushing tides, I hear another sound.
One I surprisingly don't recognize.
