We get to the shark tank, which is open so people can touch them, weird I know. Like what if one comes up and attacks you?
"How are things with you and Ash?" Luke asks, petting a shark.
"What do you mean?" I ask, watching him because I'm deathly afraid of sharks.
"Aren't you two dating?" He furrows his eyebrows, stepping away from the shark tank.
"Noooo," I shake my head.
"Oh,"
"He's your best friend, wouldn't he tell you who he's dating?" I question.
"He usually tells us when it's official,"
"Why did you think that?" I ask him.
"You two seem so close and all... couple-y," he shrugs his shoulders. "You've slept in the same bed together and spent the night before."
"Doesn't mean we're dating," I defend myself.
"I can tell though, that you two have some sort of chemistry," Luke admits.
"How?" I furrow my eyebrows.
"The way you two look at each other with lust and compassion, or at least Ashton does,"
"Never noticed," I frown.
"It's when you're not looking, he always looks at you when you're off guard or turned around, he smiles or bites his lip, I can tell when he likes someone," he explains. "I've known him for four years, Erin, I can tell even if he won't admit it,"

i know it's a slow plot but it's gonna work out soon but i want to make it realistic bc you don't always get the guy right away now do ya ??
