"Erin." I hear Ashton call for me once my shift is over.

"What?" I snap, turning around, standing in front of my dressing room.

"Did I say something to cause you to give me the cold shoulder?" He looks stressed, his eyes tired.

"You may not have heard yourself but what you said earlier kind of hurt my feelings but I'm sure you didn't mean it that way. I'm sorry for over exaggerating." I apologize.

"What I said about doing something better?" He asks.

I nod.

Ashton steps closer to me, staring me in the eye. "I'm sorry I made you feel bad, I didn't mean it in a bad way. I'm just like you; sarcastic and competitive, and I didn't mean it like that." He explains.

"It's all good, Ashton, I'm fine. I'm just sensitive to things like that."

"I'm sorry." He stresses, pulling me in for a tight hug.

I don't hug back, feeling surprised, but I eventually do, loving the feeling of his strong arms and over towering body touching mine.

"Thank you, Ashton." I mutter.

"For what?" He asks.

"For not judging me because of my job." I look down to my feet.

"I'm not that type of person, Erin," He puts his thumb on my chin, making me look him in the eyes. "I judge people by their personality because that's what matters."
