"MADDELENA." I smirked, putting my foot back down on the floor. I'd heard him the first 6 times. I pulled my earphone out, turning to face him.
"Yes dear?" Oh he didn't look happy.
"7 times."
"I know I was counting." I smiled, walking up to him. "I was busy."
"You need to stop. You're going to over work your arm."
"I'm fine Lu. It's pretty much fully healed. It's been 3 months since it last bled." He ran his finger over the scar on my arm. "I have to get back to it at some point and sooner rather than later is better. I'm already well below where I used to be." He rolled his eyes.
"You don't need to be where you were before. I'm here."
"I know you are. And you're not going anywhere. You keep saying." He pushed my ponytail behind me, onto my back "Except next week you are."
"Only for a few days. And Z and Ethan will be here."
"They don't need to be."
"But they will be." I rolled my eyes, walking back to the punch bag but he grabbed my hips, picking me up and forcing me to wrap my legs around him. "Take a break."
"Why?"
"Because." He smirked, kissing my neck a few times before lifting his head back up. "You're all hot and sweaty. I think you need a shower."
"I'll shower once I'm done."
"You are done." He nuzzled my neck, forcing me to move my head back so he could kiss down the front. "I want to get your heart racing now." I laughed slightly, squeezing my legs tighter around him.
"It's always racing around you Lu." I bit my lip as he continued kissing me.
This is how it had been since we finally moved in 2 months ago. The renovations took a week longer than we wanted them to. But they were done and we were in before we knew it. Furniture had been bought quickly, most essentials we'd bought before we came down. Things were good now.
Us being here. It was like a whole new lease of life for both of us. We'd done a few jobs over the past 6 weeks with Tommas. Somehow I had landed myself above Ethan in the scheme of things and though Z had never openly admitted it, he didn't want the responsibility once his dad passed it onto him. His plan was to split it between the 4 of us. Me, him, Lu and Ethan. To run it all as a group. I mean it made sense. 3 huge family businesses all run by 4 people. We'd be causing chaos. And I was so down for chaos.
I was brought from my thoughts about where Lu's hands were running as my phone started ringing. I looked over the other side of the bench.
"Ignore it." He was panting against me. I leaned a little further, looking at Z's name.
"It's Z."
"Z can fucking wait we're busy." He put his hand on my jaw, pulling me back down to him, causing me to gasp at how brash he was. "Attention on me." I bit my lip and he smirked. "Good girl." Every. Single. Time.
The phone rang again and I groaned, leaning over and grabbing it.
"What?"
"Woah. Calm down. What's got you all pent up?"
"We're-" I cleared my throat. Lu picked me up and laid me down on the floor, his hands going under the band of my pants. God he was going to kill me. I'm on the phone. "I'm busy." I bit my lip as he gave up, pulling my pants off. He smirked at me as his head went between my legs. Fuck. "What's up Z? Be quick about it. I really need to get back to what I was doing."
"What's so important you can't speak to your cousin?"
"I could tell you but you don't want to know." I squeezed my lips together, trying to steady my breathing.
"Ohkay." He sighed. "We've got a job."
"Okay when?"
"Friday Night. 11PM."
"What is it with you guys and Friday's." Lu's tongue worked its magic as I tried to keep myself from moaning. It got even harder as his finger pushed into me, my eyebrows practically falling off my face as I swallowed hard. "Okay details. Be quick."
"I'll text them over. I needed to speak to you though because this isn't a normal job Mads. That's why I called."
"Okay?"
"Maddy its them. Dad tracked them down. The guys that you know, your parents." I put the phone on mute, lifting Lu's head he wouldn't.
"Lu. Lemons." He stopped. Lifting up immediately.
"What's up?" He came up to my side. I sat up taking the phone off mute.
"Say that again Z. Lu's here you're on loud speaker." I put the phone on the floor between us.
"Dad finally tracked down the guys that broke into your house and put that gun in your hand." Lu looked at me. My face void of all emotion. I couldn't process what he was saying.
"Are you sure it's them Z?" Lu spoke for me, seeing I was obviously not sure what was happening right now.
"100%." Z sighed. "We watched the CCTV back from that night and they have the same scars, same tattoos." Lu nodded, moving down and pulling my pants up from my ankles and back over my hips. I'd never used that word with him before. This is exactly what it was here for. "You guys there?"
"Yeah we're here." He pulled me into his lap, grabbing the phone. "So what's the plan?"
"Dad's still finalising it, but he has been planning it since it happened, there's a whole thing. Dad's got layouts of the buildings and everything he's had someone inside for a year or so." I looked at Lu. What the fuck was happening. "Mads, you there?" I coughed, shaking the shock from my body.
"Yeah. I'm- I'm here." I sighed.
"Dad said this is yours to run." I stared at the phone. "He was going to do it but he wants you to. Said you need it more than he does. The revenge. Their blood. He said it has to come from you. So you can move on from it." I blanked out there.
My mind running crazy with the thoughts of what I could do to these guys, how I could make them do what they did to me. Watch them watch their loved ones die.
They did this to me.
They put the gun to my head.
They put the gun in my hand.
The told me to pull the trigger.
This was all them.
And now Tommas wanted it to be mine?
After all the work he'd put into finding them?
I mean it was one way to get my name back. To eliminate everything that destroyed me. To get the payback my parents deserved. Maybe it was silenced the terrors. Maybe knowing they weren't coming for me anymore. Maybe that would end it.
"Okay." I nodded. "I'll do it. Send me the details."
