SUE SYLVESTER WOULD DO ANYTHING FOR HER FAMILY, and right now, that included Jesse St James. Though the William Schuester lookalike had hurt her little princess, she couldn't sit back and let Shelby destroy his life. He was still a child, for God's sake.
Shaking her head in anger, the older woman did what she does best— called a lawyer.
Not even five minutes later, the doorbell buzzed.
Opening the door, she was greeted with the sight of Alexander Manning— the most powerful attorney in the midwest. Sharing a devious look with her long-time friend, the two adults began to scheme. You're dead meat, Shelby Corcoran.

"Jesse, I can't let you go back there after knowing what she did to you. What if she tries to hurt you again?" Courtney stressed, eyes pleading with the older boy.
After a chat with Mr Manning, who Courtney knew intimately as "uncle Alex", the family sat down to discuss what to do moving forward. Jesse explained how he would have to transfer back to Carmel High. He was tasked to introduce Shelby as Rachel's birth mother to her, and now that he's done that, he would have to return.
"If I don't go back, she'll get suspicious. I don't want her to dig around and find out what we're doing. What if she comes here? What if she hurts you?" he retorted, running a hand through his hair.
"Then I'll call the cops on her. She has no business with my family. If she comes and tries to harass us, I'll report her to the authorities. But you? You're her student. You have direct contact with her six out of seven days a week. That makes you more vulnerable to her than I'll ever be," the blonde shot back.
Courtney was stressed. She just found out the man she loves is being blackmailed by his teacher to do her bidding. She couldn't let that woman anywhere near Jesse. She sexually assaulted him! Looking up at the curly-haired boy with teary eyes, she tried again.
"Jesse, please. She hurt you. She can still hurt you. What kind of person would I be if I let the man I love go anywhere near his abuser? I can't—"
"Courtney," her mother's voice cuts in.
"As much as I agree with you, Jesse has to go back. We need to go under the radar if we want this to work. If Shelby finds out, who's to say she won't delete the pictures? If she gets rid of all the evidence, our case will not stand," Sue sighed, putting her hand on Courtney's shoulder.
The blonde looked at the lawyer with pleading eyes. "Uncle Alex—"
"They're right, Courtney. Right now, we don't have anything against Shelby. We have Jesse's statement, but we can not win a case without solid evidence. I'm sorry, but he has to go back. It's the only way," the man interjected, giving Courtney a sad smile.
