WHEN MR SCHUE ANNOUNCED THAT THE NEW DIRECTIONS WERE PERFORMING ORIGINAL SONGS FOR REGIONALS, COURTNEY JUMPED FOR JOY. It's finally time for her to shine. Since that day, she has been working on a song titled Raise y_our glass. She had only one verse to complete and couldn't wait to show it off.
So, here she was: sitting in the back of the choir room with her songwriting notebook in front of her. The rest of the New Directions had broken off into groups to brainstorm for the other song they need for their setlist.
As she wrote down the last lyric, she smiled brightly. "I'm done!" she cheered. "I've finished writing Raise y_our glass. Can I sing it for you guys?" she asked Mr Schue.
The Spanish teacher nodded and let Courtney take the stage. With a big grin on her face, Courtney pressed play on the track and began singing.
"It's kinda shitty, isn't it?"
"Not the way we pictured it."
"Feels like an existential crisis."
"Or am I being dramatic?"
"I wish the world would shut its mouth."
