"HE PROPOSED!" came the screeching voices of both Kurt and Quinn.
Courtney, who was previously working on her algebra homework, had tossed the notebook aside in favor of helping her people.
"Have a seat," she said quickly, pointing to the empty chairs nearby.
Kurt grinned excitedly. "He proposed! My dad is marrying Carole! And I'm hiring the New Directions as our band," he let out. "Oh, and I was hoping you could bake some of your brownies for the reception. And the wedding cake," he continued, flashing Courtney his puppy dog eyes.
The blonde groaned jokingly and covered her face. "Not the eyes! You know I can't say no to that," she pouted.
Now, it was Kurt's turn to pout. "Please?"
"Fine," Courtney relented. "Just let me know how you want the cake to look like. When I'm done with it, it'll be the best wedding cake anyone has ever seen!" she exclaimed cheerfully.
The boy squealed and pulled her in for a tight hug. "Oh! Thank you, thank you, thank you!" he chanted.
Meanwhile, Quinn had been awkwardly standing in the doorway. She hadn't made a move to enter the classroom any further and continued staring off into space.
Courtney and Kurt slowly stepped towards the daydreaming blonde and put a hand on her shoulder. "Quinnie?" the younger blonde asked. "What's wrong?"
Quinn didn't reply and continued staring off into the distance.
Kurt and Courtney shared an alarmed look. "I-Is this normal?" the boy asked her.
Courtney shook her head. "Absolutely not. We're going to need backup. I have to call my mom," she responded before quickly sending Sue a text to meet at the Algebra classroom.
When the cheerleading coach arrived, Quinn was still staring blankly at nothing. This time, she had at least moved and was no longer standing in the doorway.
Sue looked at Courtney confused. "Honey? You want to tell me what's happening? Your text message said, "SOS. ALGEBRA CLASSROOM. NOW. QUINN." I'm not sure I understand what that means," she said.
The younger blonde pointed to her sister. "She, uh, froze. We haven't been able to get her to respond to us," Courtney explained.
Sue raised an eyebrow.
"Have you tried turning her on and off?"
Silence.
"Mom!" Courtney scolded and gave her mother a warning look.
On the other hand, Kurt had busted out laughing. Poor kid had dropped to the floor clutching his stomach in his fit of laughter.
The older woman grinned and raised her hands in surrender. "Sorry, honey. Why don't I try and handle this now?" she said sheepishly.
