So why would anyone hate him?
Maybe because he was a murderer.
At least, that’s what Kim Taehyung believed.
His mother’s final words before she died had carried one name—Jungkook. To Taehyung, it wasn’t difficult to connect the dots. His mother had once worked in the Jeon household as Jungkook’s nanny. But what reason could Jungkook possibly have to kill her? That was the only part Taehyung didn’t understand.
Still, none of that stopped him.
Hiding beneath a black hoodie, dagger clenched in his sleeve, Taehyung watched the press conference from afar.
“Jungkook-ssi, you’ve achieved everything so young—it seems life is on your side,” one interviewer asked. “But how about your relationship status? Are you seeing someone?”
Jungkook offered a small smile. “Hm, as of now, I’m still single. I’m ready to be in a relationship, but I haven’t found a compatible girl yet.”
The crowd giggled with excitement at his answer, anticipating the lucky woman who would someday claim his heart.
Meanwhile, Taehyung finally made his move.
He stepped into the center of the conference hall, drawing curious stares. “Who are you?” someone demanded.
But Taehyung ignored them. His eyes were fixed on Jungkook alone.
“Stop him!” another shouted as Taehyung reached the front.
Without hesitation, he drove the dagger into Jungkook’s chest, just near the heart.
Gasps erupted. Blood seeped quickly across Jungkook’s pristine white shirt.

“Die,” Taehyung spat through gritted teeth, his glare sharp with fury.
For some reason, Jungkook didn’t scream. He didn’t even flinch. He simply locked eyes with Taehyung, as if hypnotized by the raw hatred burning there.
“Get him!”
Security rushed in, dragging Taehyung away. He didn’t resist—his only intent had been to strike.
“Die! You murderer!” Taehyung growled as they restrained him, his eyes never leaving Jungkook’s.
“Sir, are you okay?” a guard asked breathlessly.
Jungkook glanced down at the dagger. It hadn’t pierced deeply—just the tip had sunk into his flesh. Then he looked back toward Taehyung.
“I’m fine,” he said calmly. “Bring that person to me.”
The security guard froze, confused. “Sir?”
“Didn’t you hear me?” Jungkook snapped, eyes narrowing. “I said bring him to me.”
And with that, Jungkook walked away, leaving chaos in his wake.
But why? Why would the man who had everything want to see the stranger who had just tried to kill him?
