CHAPTER EIGHT

"Bro you're here! " Aiden's smile widen when he saw Payton enter the bar house they owned

"Yeah. " Payton answered boredly.

"What happened that you called. What's the emergency thing? " He asked confused. They called and told him to come because they said there was an emergency.

It's been a week since he and Serenity went to Palawan. They didn't stay there long because he still had work to attend to. Calix laughed loudly. Jacob shook his head with a grin.

"There is no emergency. We just want to have a drink. " Jacob answered and gulped down a bottle of beer he was holding.

The jerk Aiden is the one making that alibi. His reason? He said he wouldn't come if it wasn't an emergency.

Payton shook his head at the three's nonsense alibi. He hurried to come here because he thought something bad had happened. He took a bottle of beer and sipped it. After all, he's here now. Why not grant their request? Right? And he also wanted to make up for the past weeks that he had always rejected their request because he was busy with the paperwork he was taking care of.

"By the way. I know someone who saw you there in Palawan. He said that you have a girl with you? " Calix asked intently.

"Tss, ang dali niyo namang makasagap ng balita?" He said sarcastically.

Calix shrug his shoulder.

"I guess. Birds is not the only one who can fly. Yeah? "

He rolled his eyes.

"It was Serenity. I went to Palawan with her. " he added while continue to drink his beer.

"Naks, mukhang iba na yan ah!" Aiden said teasingly. he threw a can of beer at him in annoyance.

"I thought you two weren't together anymore after Calixto's party? Does she live in your mansion? " Jacob frowned as he estimated his reaction.

He took a deep breath and sat down. "Yeah, she didn't have a place to live so I just brought her to the mansion and let her live there with me. " he answered.

"Really? Pwede mo naman itong bilhan ng matitirhan o di kaya doon mo nalang siya patirahin sa bakante mong condo. " saad ni Aiden.

He snorted as he remembered that Aiden scammed him last month. It turned out that the price of the condo was only four hundred thousand and then it was sold to him for eight million.

"I agree. Why would you let her live in your mansyon when you can give her your vacant condo if you care about her safety. Right? " Calix looks like an investigator because of his probing question.

He regretted coming here. However, he agreed to Calix. Why? He has a lot of vacant condos but he decided to bring her to his mansion and not to his condo? Maybe because his condo he brought so many and different girls to his condo. Maybe that's the reason why he doesn't want to take her there? He don't know, since he met her, his life and mind have been messed up. He couldn't think straight when he was in front of her. What happened to him? Does his heart is in danger?

"I don't know. " tanging sagot niya lamang.

"Iba na nga 'yan bro. " Aiden said and patted Payton's shoulder. He thinks so too.

"Baka naman inlove ka na! "

He sat properly because of Calix's words.  His heart beat faster for some unknown reason. Am I?  He asked in his mind.
