Of course everyone was in shock from what they just witnessed. Natasha and Chloe both relieved and astonished at being reunited. There were still bigger things on hand, however. Bigger things such as Bucky. Once the plan was in order, the team set out.

Chloe stood at Pierce's side. He had no idea that she had changed sides, she still played the part of the trusted weapon or body guard. "I know the road hasn't exactly been smooth," Pierce spoke. "And some of you would of gladly kicked me out of the car along the way." He joked. "Finally we're here, and the world should be grateful." He waved a hand towards of the window.

The speakers suddenly crackled to life. "Attention all SHIELD agents, this is Steve Rogers," The speakers boomed. "You've heard a lot about me over the past few days. Some of you were even ordered to hunt me down. I think it's time you know the truth. SHIELD is not what we thought it was, it's been taken over by HYDRA. Alexander Pierce is their leader." All heads turned to face Pierce who had begun pacing the room.

"The Strike team and insight crew are Hydra as well. We don't know how many more, but I know they're in the building. They could be standing right next to you. They almost have what they want; absolute control. They shot Nick Fury, and it won't end there. If you launch those heli-carriers, Hydra will be able to kill anyone who stands in their way, unless we stop them. I know I'm asking a lot, but the price of freedom is high and it always has been, but it's a price I'm willing to pay. If I'm the only one then so be it, but I'm willing to bet I'm not." The speakers crackled to a stop as Steve finished his speech.

"You smug son of a bitch." A man spoke up, facing Pierce. A group of agents strolled in. "Arrest him." The man ordered. His request was met by a gun pointed at his chest. "I guess I've got the floor." Pierce grinned.

They watched from the window as the Heli-carriers began to lift into the air. "Let me ask you a question," Pierce turned to his 'colleagues'. "What if Pakistan marched into Mumbai tomorrow? And you knew that they were going to drag your daughters into a soccer stadium for execution? And you could just stop it, with just a flick of a switch. Would you? Would you all?"

"Not if it was your switch." The man Pierce handed a drink to threw the glass onto the floor. Pierce let out a laugh grabbing a gun from one of the agents. Before he could shoot, a woman jumped forward kicking Pierce and the gun away and knocking out the agents. "Scarlett Widow! Get her!" Pierce yelled. "I don't take orders from you anymore, Pierce." The teen spat.

Natasha revealed herself, peeling off the mask and wig. "I'm sorry. Did I step on your moment?" She smirked. Chloe couldn't help but smile, she was finally going to be free from Hydra when this was all over.

Chloe webbed Pierce's hands so he couldn't try anything while a SHIELD agent held a gun to the back of his head. Natasha began to get to work immediately. "What are you doing?" A man spoke up.
"She's disabling protocols and dumping all of the secrets onto the internet." Pierce answered for her. "Including all of Hydra's." Natasha nodded. "And SHIELD's." Pierce cut in. Chloe was tempted to web his mouth shut but decided against it.

"If you do this, none of your past will remain hidden." Pierce pointed out. Chloe felt a slight jolt of fear, her past was something she feared no matter how much she could remember. Natasha paused slightly. "Are you sure you're ready for the world to see you as you truly are?" Pierce pushed. Natasha tilted her head to face the man. "Are you?" She responded coldly.

Pierce looked over to Chloe. "Scarlett Widow how about you. Are you su-" Chloe shut him up, shooting a layer of webs over his mouth. Natasha gave her a shocked look. "Let's be real. He was annoying all of us." She shrugged. Natasha just smiled and gave a nod of agreement before going back to her work.

The helicopter finally arrived outside and Fury joined them all in the room. Chloe decided now was a good time to take off the webs that kept Pierce's mouth shut. "Did you get my flowers?" He grinned at Fury, as if they were still old friends who would be happy to see each other once again. "I'm glad you're here, Nick."
"Really? I thought you had me killed." Nick gave a small gesture of his hand over to Chloe who shrink towards Natasha, a guilty look crossing her features.
"You know how the game works." Pierce shrugged it off. "So why make we head of SHIELD?" Fury questioned.

"Because you're the best, and the most ruthless version I ever met." Pierce answered. "I did what I did to protect the people." Fury frowned.
"Our enemies are your enemies, Nick. Disorder, war. Just a matter of time before a dirty bomb goes off in Moscow or an EMP fries Chicago. Diplomacy? A holding-action, Nick, a bandaid. You know where I learnt that; Bogota. You didn't ask, you just did what needed to be done. I can bring order to the lives of seven billion by sacrificing twenty million. It's the next step, Nick. You have the courage to take it?"

"No. I have the courage not to." Fury spoke before leading Pierce to the screen. "Retinal scanner, activated." A robotic voice spoke. "You don't think we wiped your clearance from the system?" Pierce laughed in Fury's face. "I know you erased my password. Probably deleted my retinal scan; but if you want to stay ahead of me mr Secretary, you need to keep both eyes open." Fury lifted his eyepatch, revealing his blind eye.

Both men used the retinal scanner. Chloe smiled as the robotic voice spoke once more. "Safeguards removed."

"Done," Natasha checked her phone. "And it's trending!" Pierce was able to break free of the webs on his hand a click a few buttons, the blazers of the people gathered in the room started to spark and they cried out in pain, collapsing onto the floor. Natasha turned to him, gun pointed. Chloe readied to fight for her old friend.

"Unless you want a two inch hole in your sternum, Id put the gun down." Pierce spoke calmly. "That was armed, the moment you put it on." Chloe tensely waited for Natasha's response. She had only just found her again, she couldn't lose her again, not this quickly. Natasha sighed, putting her gun down.

"What a waste." Pierce grumbled, watching as the Heli-carriers combusted. "Time to go, council woman, this way!" Pierce told Natasha, beginning to lead her away. "And I'll deal with you traitorous filth later." Pierce glared daggers into Chloe. She felt a shiver of fear roll down her spine.

"Yanno, there was a time I would've taken a bullet for you." Fury spoke up. "You already did. You will again." Pierce laughed. Chloe watched as Natasha sent waves of electricity through her own body. The weapon placed on her blazer was disable. Chloe immediately turned, shooting into Pierce. "God, I've wanted to do that for years." She grinned.

"Romanoff. Natasha! Natasha come on!" Fury whispered to the ex-assassin. Chloe quickly rushed over. "Natasha come on, don't let me lose you again." She begged. Her green eyes slowly opened. "Ow..those things really do sting." She groaned. Chloe let out a relieved laugh. "Tell me about it."

Once Natasha was recovered enough, they climbed into the helicopter to retrieve the others. "Sam where are you?" Natasha called into comms. "Forty-first floor!" Sam responded. "We're on it! Stay where you are!" Natasha informed him.
"Not an option!" Sam yelled back. They looked up to see a heli-carrier crashing into the building Sam was in.

Sam leapt out the building and Chloe webbed him up onto the helicopter. "Thanks Spider-Ma- sorry force of habit. Chloe, thanks Chloe." Sam panted, sitting up. "We've got to find Rogers." Natasha said. "Down there!" Chloe spotted the man laying unconscious at a river bank. "Good spot, Chlo." Natasha smiled. Chloe smiled back. They collected Steve and he was immediately rushed to a hospital.

"Where are we taking the kid?" Fury asked. "I'm sure with an explanation Tony wouldn't be against saving her a place in the compound." Natasha said.
