Chloe sat at the bar of Tony's party. She looked out across the crowd of guests, analysing any threats. "This is a party of rich 'snobs' I doubt there's any threats here. Just relax and have fun." Natasha whispered to her. "You 'doubt' so you're not sure?" Chloe turned to her fully. Natasha sighed and raised a brow at her. "Right yeah, sorry. I'll try relax." Chloe mumbled.

"It took me a little while to adapt too, don't worry. Maybe go talk to Kate and Peter, they're your age, and better at talking with strangers." Natasha encouraged. "I'm good, thanks." Chloe told her. The two of them looked like they were having fun, Chloe didn't want to ruin it with her awkwardness. "Alright, alright." Natasha gently rubbed her back before starting to pour herself a drink.

Bruce walked over and took his glasses off. "How'd a nice girl like you end up working in a dump like this?" He jokingly asked Natasha. "Fella done me wrong." Natasha played along. "Got lousy taste in men, kid." Bruce continued. "He's not too bad. Well he has a temper. Deep down, he's all fluff. Fact is he's not like anyone I've ever known." Natasha spoke. Chloe internally gagged seeing how the two adults were talking. "All my friends are fighters. And here comes this guy, spends his life avoiding the fight because he knows he'll win." Natasha smiled.

"Sounds amazing." Bruce smiled.
"He's also a huge dork. Chicks dig that." Natasha giggled. "Bleh! Do they?" Chloe spoke up. Bruce and Natasha turned to her. "Oh shut it! I'm sure you'll fall in love one day." Natasha smirked.
"Ha! You are just full of jokes!" Chloe laughed sarcastically. Bruce and Natasha smiled. Bruce signalled his head over somewhere and Natasha gave a nod of agreement. Chloe frowned, trying to find where Bruce had signalled to but he hadn't been clear enough for her.

Steve walked over with a small smile. "Why aren't you hanging out with Kate and Peter, Chlo?" He asked the teen.
"We've talked about this, I don't like people calling me that nickname." Chloe huffed, avoiding the Captain's question. "Natasha calls you Chlo all the time. She your favourite or something?" Steve questions. "Ima go find Peter and Kate." Chloe said, slipping away from the bar.

She eventually found the two sitting down and joking. She hadn't thought this far. "Chloe! Hey! Come sit with us." Peter spotted her. Thank god. She sat down beside Peter. "You alright? I haven't seen you all night." Kate asked her.
"Yeah, I was just hanging out with Nat." Chloe told her.

"It's cute how you two are so close. She's kinda like your mom!" Peter laughed, Kate giving a nod of agreement. Chloe paused to think about it, she didn't actually know who her real mum was, what she was even like. Natasha was the closest she really had to a parental figure. "Hm- yeah I guess." She shrugged, humouring the idea.

"Avengers after party come on!" Tony called to everyone. They all sat down, beginning to chat and laugh. Chloe occasionally glanced at Thor's hammer placed on a table in the centre of everyone. The conversation soon enough turned to the topic of the mighty Thor's hammer. "It's a trick!" Clint announced.
"It's much more than that." Thor smiled.
"Whoever be worthy shall haveth the powerrrr! Whatever man! It's a trick." Clint answered stubbornly.

"Please, be my guest." Thor gestured to his weapon. "Really?" Clint queried.
"Yeh." Thor nodded with a confidence ridden smirk. "Clint you've had a tough week, we won't hold it against you if you can't get it up." Tony joked, making the circle of Avengers laugh.

The avengers went around, attempting to pick up the hammer. No one succeeded. "It's impossible!" Kate decided, sitting back down with a sigh. "Peter, you're next up!" Tony patted the brunette on the back. He got up, pulling up his sleeves. He began pulling on the hammer. Just like everyone else, the hammer didn't move. "Chloe get over here! We need double spidey strength." Peter called over. Chloe rolled her eyes and stood up, grabbing just above where Peter's hand was. She could already feel the weight of the weapon as her hand touched it. "Three, two, one, pull!" Peter and Chloe began to try lift the weapon up. It felt slightly lighter as Chloe actually put some effort into the pull. It didn't lift, however. "Dammit." Peter mumbled. "S'posse we're not worthy then. Shame." Chloe shook her head, smiling a little to try and relieve Peter of some of his disappointment. She didn't miss Thor's confused and startled look at her, however.

"Nat?" Tony nodded to the hammer.
"Oh no, no. That's not a question I need answered." Natasha shook her head.
"It's rigged." Tony shrugged.
"You bet your ass!" Clint agreed.
"Steve! He said a bad language word." Maria playfully snitched. "Really? Did you tell everyone?" Steve looked around at the group.

Thor lifted his hammer and tossed it up before it landed back in his hand. "You're all not worthy." He smiled. Everyone's disagreeing laughs or snorts were cut off by a high pitched noise filling the room. "Ow what the fuck!" Kate held one hand to her ear, blocking the other with Chloe's shoulder.

"Woorthyyyy." A robotic voice grated, making everyone turn their heads. One of Tony's robots had stumbled into the room. "Have some decency and cover up. Damn." Chloe mumbled, commenting on the exposed wires of the bot. "No. How could you be worthy? You're all killers." The robot droned. Chloe felt her heart drop and her face fell. "Stark." Cap said.
"Jarvis." Tony retaliated.

"I'm sorry, I was asleep. I was a- dream." Tony's bot continued. "Reboot Legionnaire OS. We got a buggy suit." Tony muttered. "There was this terrible noise. And I was tangled in...In strings. Had to kill the other guy." The suit stumbled around as it spoke. "You killed someone?" Steve asked.

"Wouldn't of been my first call. But down in the real world, we're faced with ugly choices." Chloe felt a little guilty for agreeing with what the buggy suit had just said. "Who sent you?" Thor demanded.
"I see a suit of armour around the world." A recording of Tony's voice played from the bot. "Ultron!" Bruce gasped.

"In the flesh. Or no- not yet. Not this chrysalis. But I'm ready. Im on a mission." 'Ultron' informed the Avengers. "What mission?" Nat queried.
"Peace of our time." Ultron answered, just as two bots burst through the wall.

Chloe pushed Kate out of the way from one, pulling it back and sending it flying into the wall it had come from. As the chaos started, one of the suits grabbed Loki's sceptre and flew off. Chloe reached out to web it but was stopped by a suit flying in front off her. Peter shot at it for her but the bot with the sceptre had already gotten away.

The avengers tried as quickly as they could to rid the bots attacking them. Once the last one was down, Ultron spoke again. "That was dramatic." Chloe helped Kate to her feet from her hiding spot and turned to face the suit. "I'm sorry, I know you mean well. You just didn't think it through. You want to protect the world, but you don't want it to change. How is humanity saved if it's not allowed to...evolve?" Ultron interrogated.

"With these? These puppets." Ultron picked up the 'corpse' of a destroyed bot, crushing its helmet and tossing it away. "There's only one path to peace. The Avengers extinction." Were it's last words before Thor sent his hammer through it's head. "I have strings...but now I'm freee." The bot sung before fully powering off.

"What a charming introduction." Chloe mentioned sarcastically. "Tell me about it." Kate sighed.
