Me and Nat woke up just as the jet landed at Clint's safe house. We all climbed out and Clint lead the way to a cosy looking farm house. As we entered I stepped on a kid's toy, frowning in confusion, I swept it under the sofa. "Honey? I'm home!" Clint called out. Me and Peter shared a shocked look as a pregnant woman rounded the corner. "Brought company, sorry I didn't call ahead." Clint smiled at the woman.

"Everyone, this is Laura." Clint turned to the group. "I know all your names." Laura smiled. There was the sound of feet stampeding towards all of us. "Incoming." Clint muttered. He grinned as two kids ran into the room. "Did you bring auntie Nat?" The little boy asked. "Oh! And Kate?" The younger girl added. Clint stepped back and the two kids ran over.

Nat perked up seeing the kids, greeting them both with big hugs. Kate did the same. "What the fu-" Peter slapped his hand over Chloe's mouth. "They're kids!" He told her off. "Right, sorry." Chloe nodded. "Sorry for barging in." Steve apologised. "We would've called ahead but we were busy having no idea you existed." Tony said sarcastically. "Yeah, Fury helped me set this up when I joined. Keep it off the files, like to keep it that way." Clint apologised.

The little girl walked over to Chloe, looking up at her. "Who's this?" She pointed, turning to her dad. "That's your cousin, Chloe." Clint smiled. "So auntie Nat's daughter?" Clint's son checked. Clint nodded slightly. "Basically, yeah." and Chloe felt a smile appear on her face. "Nice to meetcha." She bent down to the girl's level. The girl gave her a quick hug around the neck.

"We're a bit tight for space here so some of you are gonna have to bunk up." Clint told everyone. "Teens, upstairs, first door on the right. You can all sleep in there." Clint informed the smaller group. They all nodded and went upstairs to check their room. There was one double bed and an air mattress on the floor.

Peter flopped down on the mattress. "Hey! We didn't even discuss yet." Chloe told him. "You're both girls, you can share bed without problem, right?" Peter pointed out. "Mhm." Kate chirped. She sat down on the double bed. "I'm beat! Let's shower and then bed, yeah?" Peter asked them. They both agreed with the brunette.

Chloe faced the wall, struggling to sleep. It seemed as though every time she closed her eyes she was brought back to the places she dreaded most. Unfortunately for Chloe, even dangerous assassins had to sleep. She found herself back through halls of her past, the Red Room, Hydra, her training. It's all her mind would be brought back to.

She woke up, her heart racing and her fists clenched. Her breathing was scattered, fear making her very obviously on edge. "Chloe? Are you alright?" The teen snapped her head round at the sound of Kate's voice. "Nightmare?" Kate guessed. Chloe gave a small, shy nod. Her breathing was still messy, despite she was no longer thinking of her past. It was hard to think of anything else other than Kate's deep blue eyes. "You have to slow your breathing and heart rate, okay?" Kate said gently. Chloe shook her head. "Can't." She answered shortly.

"C'mere." Kate leaned forward, carefully resting Chloe's head against her chest. "Match my heart beat and breathing, alright?" Kate told her softly. Chloe easily began to calm down, doing just as Kate had told her. "Good job. You wanna tell me what the nightmare was about?" Kate asked. Chloe shook her head. "That's alright." Kate nodded back. Soon enough they were both back lying down. "Can you Erm- never mind." Chloe dismissed herself. "No? What's up?" Kate piped up.
"Could you hold my hand? Just..makes me feeler safer." Chloe mumbled. Kate smiled at her and put her hand out. They intertwined fingers and Chloe found herself almost immediately back asleep.

The next day Chloe and Kate were able to avoid teasing from Peter by waking up before him. They got ready and went downstairs. There was a slight tension between them, they hadn't spoken about last night, the only thing stopping either of them from believing it was simply just a dream was the fact they had woken up so close together, hands still intertwined.
