It had been a few months since the events in Sokovia, and since Chloe got adopted. Having Natasha as a mother was the best thing that had happened to her. Natasha was great. She made time to talk or hang out, they both played games or watched movies together. They were rarely apart. Truthfully who would want to break apart from what they'd always wanted; and what they'd both always wanted was a family.

It was fun training with Wanda, Vision and Pietro. Pietro was funny, sarcastic and overall a loveable guy. Chloe and him grew close pretty fast, whenever she wanted to play video games or have someone to talk to while she trained, she called Pietro. Wanda was equally as fun, she was great to gossip with. She was also a brilliant cook, that was something everyone appreciated. Vision was alright to, even though he was a robot he acted very human, Peter and Kate taught him a loose sense of humour. It was funny to see Steve or Tony's reaction anytime vision made a joke that the teens had taught him.

Speaking of Kate; her and Chloe grew very close. Chloe spent more time in Kate's room than she did anywhere else in the compound. That included sleeping over. Chloe found that her nightmares seemed to stop or at least ease whenever she slept in Kate's room. Maybe it was the fact Kate loved contact and would always be close to Chloe when they slept that gave the ex-Hydra soldier a sense of security and comfort.

"Wake up! It's mission time!" Chloe was awoken by Sam peeking his head into the bedroom. "Oi! Lovebirds! Wake uppp!" Sam pitched his voice higher as he spotted Kate and Chloe cuddled together. "Yeah! Yeah, we're getting up." Chloe groaned, throwing a pillow at the Avenger. He just laughed and left, gently closing the door behind him. "Kate wake up, we have a mission." Chloe whispered to the girl beside her, slowly getting up. "Ten more minutes." Kate mumbled sleepily, making her friend laugh. "Use those ten minutes to shower and get suited up." She told the archer.

Kate was still trying to wake up as they got on the Quinjet. "This mission is important, everyone needs to be on their top game." Steve said seriously as the jet lifted into the sky. "What's so serious about this mission?" Chloe asked. Steve turned to look at her, a frown on his face. "We might have a lead on Rumlow." The Captain responded. Chloe clenched her fists, the name alone filled her with hatred. She couldn't be blamed for how she felt, it was justified. Rumlow put in so much work to hurt her when she was under Hydra control. "This is serious then, wake up, Bishop c'mon." Chloe nudged her lightly.

They arrived at Lagos and everyone took their positions. "Alright what do you see?" Cap's voice crackled through comms. "Standard beat cops. Small station. Quiet street. It's a good target." Wanda responded. "There's an ATM on the south corner, which means?" Steve trailed off.
"Cameras." Wanda answered.
"Both cross streets are one-way." Steve continued. "So, comprised escape routes." Wanda spoke. "Means our guy isn't afraid to be seen, he isn't afraid to make a mess on the way out." Steve sighed.

"You see that Range Rover halfway up the block?" Cap asked.
"The red one? It's cute." Wanda shrugged. "It's also bulletproof. Which means private security, which means more guns, which means more headaches for somebody, probably us." Natasha listed.
"You guys know I can move things with my mind right?" Wanda retorted.
"Looking over your shoulder needs to become second nature." Natasha informed her.

"Anyone ever tell you you're a little paranoid?" Sam spoke up.
"Not to my face? Why? Did you hear something?" Nat questioned, making Chloe snicker. "Eyes on targets, folks. This is the best lead we've on had on Rumlow in six months, I don't want to lose him." Steve reminded the team.

"Ha! If he sees us coming it won't be a problem, he kinda hates us. Especially Chloe." Sam laughed.
"Thanks for the reminded, birdie." Chloe rolled her eyes.

"Sam, You see that garbage truck? Tag it." Steve told him. Sam released redwing from his back and tagged the garbage truck. "That truck's loaded for maximum weight, the driver's armed." Sam reported.
"It's a battering ram." Natasha realised.
"Go now." Steve ordered firmly.
"Why?" Wanda questioned.
"He's not hitting the police." Steve said.
