Chapter 15- Reunited

Chloe rode on the back of Natasha's motorcycle. They found Rick asleep on the floor. Nat gave him a kick to the ankle. He woke up with a jolt. "Sleeping on the job are we?" Chloe questioned, her tone teasing. "I've been in six different time zones in three days because of you two." Rick responded, getting to his feet. "Oh really?" Natasha gasped sarcastically. "Yeah." Rick groaned.
"What. Are you scrapping together some spare parts?" Natasha laughed. "What did you get me this time? An upside down lawnmower?" The now blonde Natasha teased. Rick gave her an annoyed look before pointing. Both women turned to see what he was referring to.

The jet in front of them made Natasha and Chloe drop their jaws in shock. Natasha and Chloe thanked Rick before boarding the aircraft. "Time to break our second family out of prison." Natasha smiled.
"Woo! Second Romanoff family road trip!" Chloe celebrated.

*2 years later*

Chloe jumped forwards, kicking the alien away from Natasha. She webbed the weapon to Steve who immediately went in for the attack. Sam swooped In and knocked the alien over to her friend. "Get up." The alien hissed. "I can't." The injured one responded. "We don't want to kill you," Natasha started. "But we will." Chloe finished. "You'll never get the chance again." A beam of light sucked the unearthly creature up into a ship, their weapons along with them.

With the threats gone, the Avengers focused back on Wanda, Pietro and Vision. Vision and Sam helped Vision stand and board the jet. "I thought we had a deal. Stay close, check in, don't take any chances." Natasha spoke as she closed up the ship. "I'm sorry." Wanda apologised timidly. "Where to, Cap." Sam called from the drivers seat. "Home." Steve told him. "That's so main character." Chloe mumbled.

The jet landed at the familiar surroundings of the compound. Chloe's heart ached with sadness as she remembered the last time she was here. She looked across the lawn at the spot where her and Kate had been sat just before she had run away.

They stepped into the compound, spotting Rhodey speaking to a hologram of Secretary Ross. "Me Secretary." Steve greeted. "You got some nerve, I'll give you that." The hologram stood in front of the group of 'criminals'. "You could use some of that right now." Natasha told him.
"The world's on fire. You think all is forgiven?" Ross demanded.
"I'm not looking for forgiveness and I'm way past asking for permission." Cap responded. "Earth just lost her best defender. So we're here to fight. If you want to stand in our way, we'll fight you too."
"Arrest them." Ross turned to Rhodey.
"All over it." Rhodey got rid of Ross' hologram and turned to the group.

"It's great to see you Cap." He dropped the act and gave a smile to the Avengers. "Oh and if Friday did what I said..." Rhodey trailed off. The sound of running could be heard before someone bolted into the room. Chloe stumbled back as someone brought her into a tight hug. "Kate?" The brunette gasped.

Kate pulled back from the hug slightly, cupping Chloe's face in her hands. "Oh my god it's you, I missed you so much." Kate spoke, happy tears running down her face. Chloe had no time to respond as her girlfriend pulled her into a kiss. The Avengers let out a chorus of 'awwwws'. Kate buried her head shyly into Chloe's neck. "Missed you too, I can't even describe how much." Chloe whispered to her, feeling tears roll down her cheeks.
"Hey guys." All heads turned to see Bruce enter the room. "Hi, Bruce." Natasha spoke first.

Once everyone said their hellos and reunited with each other, they began to talk about the problem at hand. "So we gotta assume they're coming back, right?" Rhodey questioned. "And they can clearly find us." Wanda nodded.
"We need all hands on deck. Where's Clint?" Bruce turned to Kate. She lifted her head slightly off Chloe's shoulder to talk. "He's still taking the deal of home arrest." Bruce just nodded. "Look, Thanks has the biggest army in the universe and he is not going to stop until he gets...Vision's stone."
