_-|-The creep acting up-|-_
I stared at Joe, completely bewildered by his sudden change in demeanor. He was my boss, after all, and I couldn't understand why they were suddenly acting as if he was... something more. I felt my cheeks flush with embarrassment as Lo booped my nose, her eyes sparkling with mischief.
"I- w- H?" was all I could manage to reply, my mind racing with confusion and disbelief.
"Your face says it all!" Lo exclaimed, her voice ringing out like a bell in the quiet restaurant. I could feel my heart racing as Joe whispered in my ear, his warm breath sending shivers down my spine.
"You like him," he murmured, his voice low and seductive.
I felt a sense of madness wash over me as I tried to deny what was happening. "What the fuck? No! I can agree he's charming and attractive, but I don't like him like that!" I exclaimed, my voice rising with frustration.
But my words fell on deaf ears as a voice spoke behind us, and I turned to see William standing there, his eyes twinkling with amusement.
"Charming AND attractive, huh?" he said, his voice laced with humour.
I could feel Lo's eyes on me, her sly grin telling me that she knew something I didn't. I tried to ignore her as she started cackling, her laughter ringing out like a chorus in the small restaurant.
I elbowed her hard, trying to get her to stop. But it was too late. William had seen her shaking with laughter, and he was looking at us with a straight face.
"Is your friend epileptic?" he asked, his voice deadpan.
I felt my cheeks flush with embarrassment as I tried to compose myself. "Wh- a? No! Haha!" I stammered, feeling like a complete idiot.
In that moment, I wished I could disappear.
"I guess that's my cue to leave, See you three."
As William left, a sense of relief washed over me. The sound of Lo's cackling grated on my nerves, and i was grateful for Joe's intervention. I couldn't stand being around Lo, their constant giggling and snickering was like nails on a chalkboard.
Aria's sudden appearance startled me, but i welcomed the distraction from the awkward situation. I tried to play it cool, but my nerves got the best of me and i stumbled over my words. Aria's concern was genuine, and i appreciated her kindness. As she squeezed my shoulder, i couldn't help but feel a rush of affection for her.
The rest of my shift passed by in a blur. I moved around the restaurant with practiced ease, taking orders and delivering food with a smile. But as the hours ticked by, exhaustion started to set in. My feet ached and my back was sore, but i soldiered on, determined to finish my shift.
Finally, the end of my shift arrived.
As i entered the staff break room to retrieve my coat and hat, a smooth British voice spoke behind me. I knew who it was, but i didn't bother to turn around face-to-face. "Hello, darling," Mr. Afton said. "Hi, Mr. Afton. Do you need anything?" I asked, as i put my apron in your locker.
"Hm, I suppose I do. Can I drive you home?" He asked, catching me off guard. I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. Mr. Afton was always charming, but there was something about him that made me feel uncomfortable.
"Fine."
As I walked towards the car, I couldn't help but notice that the purple car was Williams'. I found it odd, but as I scanned it over, I couldn't find any evidence of murder weapons, which was a relief. William opened the car door for me, and as I got in, he took the driver's seat.
