⥼❝A foreboding feeling♥❞⥽
A1/N: i was sitting inside during lunch break and my teacher comes up and makes me help her search up my wattpad username.. rip. And now another teacher has my wattpad, too so that's.... Not fun. Go fuck yourself, local.
I steadied my breath before wiping my tears with my wrist, finally stepping inside the employee's lounge. I thought I'd made myself look calm enough, but Aria running over me proved very much otherwise, to my dismay. "Oh my god, you look terrible! What happened?" Aria attempted to soothe me by tracing her thumbs around on the back, in which the tingle in my stomach was caused by. "I-" "You know what? Don't answer that. Let's go get some lunch, would that make you feel better?" She cut me off, giving me a warm smile that caused me to literally melt. I nodded yes, sniffling once before she started to drag me out the employee's lounge, letting the whole pizzeria see my disheveled look. Luckily everyone was far too engaged in their conversations to even notice my sobbing self being dragged around by someone else, making me slightly giggle in between my sobs.
When we finally arrived at the café Aria was talking about, she practically pushed me into the booth and sat down on the other side, giving me a serious stare. "Why did William start screaming at you?" She questioned, reaching a hand over to mine and squeezing it gently. Her touch sent shivers down my spine, and I felt a new wave of emotions wash over me, making my face feel scorching hot. Just as I was about to break the unnerving silence, a waiter approached our table with two menus. "Hello ladies, what can I get started for you? Any drinks?" He clapped his hands and offered a gentle smile, making my face sizzle even more. I looked at the menu for a second before finally deciding on what I wanted. Aria had already made up her mind, so the waiter was only waiting for me. "I'll have F/F and F/D." I replied, sliding the menu over to the waitress, who gladly received it. "We'll have that right out for you two!" He said before moving on to another table, leaving me and Aria to our chatting.
I gazed at her, and she raised an eyebrow in anticipation, causing me to stare blankly as I comprehended what she meant. "Well, umm...I was walking on the sidewalk after my father and I had a disagreement, as he calls it, and he pulls up beside me in his car and invites me to stay the night...So I did, but I had this dreadful nightmare that felt too real, and now I'm still questioning whether or not I'm going insane. Things have been insane recently. He yelled at me because I left in the middle of the night. He was just concerned, and...I'm still upset about it. Because I'm being stalked and...just...things have been difficult since I got this job." I sniffled, grabbing a tissue and wiping my tears away in one swift motion before gazing up at my friend again.
I looked back at aria and she gazed upon me baffled, presumably because of the stalking part, which made me giggle slightly to her astonishment.
"Oh my god! That's- That must be terrible! I'm so sorry Y/N! I'm always here for you... You know that, right?" She replied, softly setting a hand on top of mine, giving it a gentle squeeze "Thank you, Aria." I gave her a radiant smile, in which she gladly returned. "F/F, F/D, bacon and eggs and Pepsi?" A waitress walked up to our table, food in hand. "F/F and F/D here!" I cheerily said, being happy to not have to have an awkward silence between me and my best friend. Despise me and Aria being close we'd never actually hung out outside of work, which kind of baffled me. The waitress set our food down, before leaving us to be again. Instead of an awkward silence, Aria immediately hopped onto another subject. "You should've seen Aiden embarrass himself! He managed to fall face first onto the ground with two pizzas in hand, when he was serving customers!" She laughed, biting off a piece of her bacon. "Why was Aiden serving? He's a chef!" "Ah, well you see when there's too little employees we all usually mix up and do all the jobs. It was seriously so funny! I swear!" She giggled, making my cheeks feel hot. She's just so.. cute.
As Aria looked at you, her eyes widened with concern. "Y/N? You okay?" she asked, noticing the flush on your cheeks. You tried to dismiss her worry with a quick response, but she saw right through you. Her gentle voice was like a balm to your troubled heart, and you felt your tension melt away. "Oh! You're probably still thinking about William, like shouting at you, I get it," she said, her words as soft and comforting as a warm embrace.
As Aria spoke, you felt yourself getting lost in your thoughts, pondering the mysteries of who and why. The recent events had cast a shadow over your daily life and thought process, and it was all because of this job. A feeling of dread mixed with an enormous disquiet shiver ran up your spine, causing you to recoil in fear when Aria waved her hand in front of your face. You frantically glanced around the café, petrified as if you had seen your stalker once more. But to your relief, there was no one eyeballing back at you like some eccentric freak of nature. You came back to your senses and looked back at Aria. "I'm sorry," you sighed, rubbing your forearm slightly to reassure yourself. "Things have just been so...hectic. I get lost in my thoughts, and...sorry." You peered at Aria, seeing her with a face that could only be described as pity for the torture that you're withstanding. "Listen, it's fine! If you're feeling kinda nervous, then we can leave! I finished my food already anyways."
"Thank you, Ari. You really are great." I stood up, fishing my wallet out of my back pocket before Aria roughly snatched it from me, a devious glint in her eyes. "Nuh-Uh. I'm paying." Aria avowed, stuffing the wallet back in my front pocket before pulling out hers. As we were about to walk over to the cashier, i tried to speak— "But-" Aria cut me off by tutting, promptly shutting me up before gently taking ahold of my hand, pulling me along to the register.

I knocked on the door harshly, not bothering to listen for a response before i walked in; My words stirring in my mouth threatening to spill in a string of curses. "Can't even bother to knock now?" An agitated henry uttered to mumble, Causing me to let out a groan. "Where'd Aria and Y/N go?" I crossed my arms, nudging my head expectedly. "Listen, William there's no need for you to know. I don't know why you're acting so possessive over her, but it's not good! She doesn't even talk to you!" Henry harshly stood up, his back hunched and his fingernails digging into the chipped wood of his desk as he gave me a deathly glare. "You're not her father, Henry." I hissed back at at him, causing him to deliver a taken aback gaze, his eyes gaping wide open in astonishment to my harsh tone. I could see him stirring up an insult, causing me to snicker slightly at his attempt to appear bigger. "Tch. You know Henry, i'm always the one with upper hand here. Don't be so obstinate about it and just tell me where the pair meandered off to, and i'll be off your back." I took a step closer to him, giving him a challenging squint before he finally sat back down with a defeated sigh, promptly showing off that he'd given up on trying to consult me. "I don't know. They just told me they'd be going to a café, and i let them." This simple sentence kindled a feeling of irritation to stir up in my stomach, a low growl erupting from my chest, inducing Henry to give me a bewildered glance. "You really know how to get under my hair, don't you?" Was the last thing i said before i strutted out the door, slamming it shut. As soon as i had closed the door behind me, the uproar of the menacing children could be heard due to the robots having their 'Fun' little show once again. I entered my office, pulling open one of the drawers and fishing out a box of cigarette and lighters, satisfaction replacing the irritation that was filling my chest with a heavy feeling. I walked out to the main area— Not looking back at anything before exiting the building and standing outside of it as i enkindled the cigarette, my lips upturning into a smile before i took a puff; calming me down as i slowly forgot about the heated discussion me and my partner had just had.
Fucking Henry.
