✰*Overtime hallucinations?*✰
Mentions of blood.
As I awoke from my peaceful slumber, I stretched my body, feeling the satisfying pops that came with it. My mind was filled with thoughts, a daily dose of introspection that always flooded my brain.
What am I going to do today? Oh, right, I have work now. And it's with my creepy ass boss who obviously is trying to hide something.
I sighed, getting out of my bed and grabbing my now clean uniform that lay neatly folded on my bed. The fabric was soft against my skin, but my mind was already racing with thoughts of the day ahead.
Who? Oh, that's right, I have parents. But I didn't care to waste any more time. I put on my uniform, picking up my phone from the nightstand beside my bed.
As I turned it on, my heart skipped a beat. The time read 10:43 AM. Great, I didn't wake up too late. But then, as I looked closer, my heart sank. Holy shit! I'm late!
I quickly grabbed all the stuff I needed, my mind racing with thoughts of how I was going to survive the day without lunch. I knew it was going to be tough, but I was determined to make it through.
As i was rushing my way outside, i tumbled slightly on the stairwell, catching myself before any wounds could be made.
The air outside was cool and refreshing, but my mind was consumed with thoughts of the day ahead. I walked quickly, the sound of my footsteps echoing in the empty street.
11:03 AM
As I entered the doors of the pizzeria, the bustling of it immediately filled my ears. The smell of fresh dough and melted cheese wafted through the air, making my stomach growl. Ugh, I just woke up, too. My body was still adjusting to the sudden change in pace, and I felt a sense of disorientation wash over me. But I had a job to do, and I had to do it well.
As I walked through the pizzeria, I heard a slightly familiar voice ask, "Where have you been, Y/N? Two of our employees didn't come in today— Kris had to handle it all! You can't just come in late with no notice!"
I looked up and saw Henry, my boss, standing in front of me, looking angry. I quickly shoved my headphones in my backpack, trying to think of an excuse.
"No need to be so harsh on her, hens," William said, squeezing Henry's shoulders. I was surprised to see him there, and even more surprised when Henry turned around, looking even angrier.
They started whispering, not knowing I could hear them.
"You never act like this! It's usually you doing the yelling! Why are you suddenly against it?" Henry asked.
"Well..." William trailed off.
"Well??" Henry pressed.
"She's just... different," William finally said.
"How?!" Henry asked.
"I don't have to tell you anything!" William replied angrily, stomping off.
I awkwardly went past the angry owner, feeling confused. Different? How? I reached the lockers and opened mine, stuffing my bag in and taking out my apron.

As a result of being late, I had to work overtime for four hours as requested by Henry. It was now 8 PM, and I had two hours left of my shift cleaning the whole pizzeria spotless. I wasn't even allowed to listen to music, which made the task even more tedious and monotonous.
