A/N; i had such a hard time writing this chapter lol. Sorry it took so long, i js had to find a way to put this chapter in to words

He wanted me to meet him at Freddy's?

After my father died?

You pondered the request, your mind racing with doubt. But why would he want me there? you asked yourself. The clock read eight, and you were to arrive at nine. Time ticked by, and you felt a wave of apprehension wash over you.

"I suppose I'll go," you whispered to yourself, feeling a chill run down your spine. Your mother's voice broke through the silence. "Go where, my dear?" she asked, taking a sip of her water.

Your head shot up from your phone, startled by the sudden interruption. As you gazed across the round table, your posture relaxed and you finally spoke up when your mother arched an eyebrow.

"My boss wants to meet me at the pizzeria," you said, switching off your phone and giving her your full attention. She set down her book, pushing it aside as her calm demeanor gave way to mild irritation. "Are you kidding?" she hissed, her concern for you still raw after the loss of your father. You didn't mind, though. She loved you and wanted to keep you close. "I suppose I'll go anyway," you replied, "I don't think he'd text me if it wasn't important."

Your mother's expression twisted with fear, and she leaned in close to the table. "Can't I come with you?" she begged, her eyes pleading with you. You hesitated, your mind racing as you considered the request. "I suppose I could ask my boss," you murmured, your gaze flicking to the door. You picked up your phone, but your heart sank as you thought of how difficult it would be to convince him. "He's not one to be swayed," you said, your voice heavy with doubt.

Hey, i was just wondering if my mom would be able to come with me?

Your finger hovered over the send button, hesitant as you considered the weight of the message. After a moment's pause, you took a deep breath and tapped the screen. As you waited for the response, you realized you had never added him to your contacts. You quickly remedied the situation, selecting a generic image and typing in his details. Just as you finished, your phone buzzed, signaling his reply.

No. It is strictly confidential.

A frown creased your brow as you looked up, only to find your mother had vanished. You spun around, and there she was, her face twisted into an expression of displeasure. She let out a deep sigh, the scent of mint wafting from her mouth as she retook her seat. "That's fine," she said, her voice laced with caution. "But you need to promise to keep me informed of your well-being."

"Naturally, mum." You affirmed, getting up from your seat. Better early than late - you thought, scampering towards the door. You slipped your shoes on, not bothering to grab a jacket before you yelled out a goodbye, opening the door and exiting the house.

As the night breeze caressed your skin, you felt a shiver run down your spine. The cool air enveloped you, making shiver slightly. Damn, it's so cold.

You walked over to your car and pulled out your keys. You clicked the unlock button, and the car's lights blinked in response. You opened the door and sat down, feeling a slight bounce. You checked the time and realized you had about thirty minutes before you needed to be there. "Great.." You mumbled to yourself, still not feeling like you want to be there.
