Blood warning.
Ariiizzz_"I feel so much better," I said, my voice filled with gratitude. "You're really a great friend, Ari." I wrapped my arms around her, holding her tightly. She hugged me back, her embrace even tighter than mine. "You're a great friend too," she said, her voice filled with warmth. "You never cease to amaze me, you know that?" I felt my sorrows coming back, threatening to overwhelm me. I wanted to cry, to let out all the pain I was feeling, but I couldn't. I just wanted to hold on to this moment, to the warmth and comfort that Ari was giving me. When she finally let go, I felt a pang of sadness. I had lost something that had become so important to me. "We should probably get back to the restaurant, huh?" Ari said, breaking the silence. I let out a nervous chuckle. "I can't even begin to imagine how mad Mr. Afton must be," I said, scratching my neck. I checked the time on my phone, realizing how much time had passed.
4:30 PM"Holy shit, we've been gone for like two hours!" I gasped, causing Aria to choke on air before scrambling to grab my phone and check. "You're right! Let's get going, now!" We hurried out the door, making our way to the pizzeria. Luckily, it wasn't too far away, just a few doors down. "Y/N, let's run! Come on!" Aria loudly exclaimed, picking up her pace and running. I tried to match her pace, almost tripping over my own feet in the process. As soon as her running faltered, I came to a quick halt behind her, almost crashing into her. "We're here!" she announced, proudly opening the door. When we had finally entered, I could see William glaring daggers at presumably both of us, sending shivers down my spine. "Y/N, before we get back to work," Aria hugged me, practically squeezing all the air out of me before giving me a kiss on the cheek, making my mouth go agape.
She then let go, before skipping happily down to the employee's lounge. My cheeks grew hot immediately, and i touched two fingers to the cheek she had kissed— She just.. kissed me. I could feel my lips upturning into a smile, practically radiating around the whole restaurant. When i looked over to william, his mouth was practically on the floor, his fists balled up tightly; Blood ever so slightly dripping down his palms. This made me nervous, so i just quickly passed him and went into the employee's lounge. When i entered, Aria was on her way out of it; giving me a gentle smile that asked 'Were you okay with that?' I gave her a smile back, My heart thumping harshly against my chest. My cheeks grew hotter by the second, as i started to sweat slightly by the warmth that had so suddenly entered my body.Slightly disoriented, i walked over to my locker, opening it and grabbing my apron.
After i had put it on, i quickly exited the employee's lounge, and got back to doing my work.
<----->
"Can I get you started with anything?" I questioned, with my lips slightly upturned. I hovered the pen I was holding over the notepad, ready to write it down. Suddenly, a child's voice echoed in my ears, "Listen!" I flinched slightly, confused as to who could've said it. "Quick!" the voice continued. "Blood! It spews!" I was taken aback by the words, but I tried to shake it off. "Miss?" a voice snapped me back to reality, causing me to laugh awkwardly. "Sorry. I lost myself for a second there. Repeat that?" I tilted my head slightly in question, now ready to hear the order. "Ah, well... we haven't decided yet but... Your pen exploded, I'm afraid." The sweet woman sitting in the booth gestured towards my hands, causing me to look down. And sure enough, blue ink was stained all over my hands, running down my wrists. "Crap. I'm so sorry, ma'am. I'll have someone else right out for you." I quickly headed towards the employee's lounge, using my leg to open the door once I reached it. I immediately headed towards the bathroom, entering it, closing it and locking it with a steady 'thud' and 'click'.
''You! NEED! to! b3 Qu1cK''
''God damn it, leave me be already.''
''Parts and! S3RviC3S!''
''Fine, if i go there; Will you leave me be?''
''Parts 4ND servIc3s is where they lay,''
I sighed in annoyance, drying my hands off with my apron before unlocking the door and quickly exiting it, Not wanting to keep the voices in my head waiting.
I entered the long horrifying hallway that the parts and services room was in, the door being seemingly more far away than it usually is-- Finally reaching it, I inhale; knowing nothing good can be behind this door. I exhale, before quickly opening it.
As i opened the door, a metallic scent filled my nostrils, causing me to shut my eyes tightly. However, as the scent lingered, i realized that it was the unmistakable smell of blood. You opened your eyes to find Aria's lifeless body lying on the floor, sending chills down your spine. You fell to your knees, picking up her cold and fragile body by the waist, your voice trembling as you called out her name, begging her to respond. "Aria!"
"Oh my god, aria!"
3RD PERSON POV
Aria slowly opened her eyes, and as she did, she became aware of your presence and the tears streaming down your face. You asked who could have done such a thing to her, feeling breathless and panicked. She tried to reply, but all that came out was a cough, followed by a stream of blood running down her chin, staining her further with her own blood. You cried out her name, pulling her closer to you, begging her to be okay. You held her fragile body, which was turning ever so pale, weeping faintly as you sat there in the horror of the moment.
"Y/N-" Aria's voice was small and feeble, barely audible, as she spoke your name. You stilled for a moment, unsure if you had actually heard her. She pleaded with you to get him, her weak voice sending shivers down your spine. You looked at her frail frame, seeing her smile weakly back at you before you broke down once more, overcome with emotion.
You were filled with determination as you picked up Aria's frail body, carrying her towards Henry's office, which was only a few doors down. Without bothering to knock, you burst into his office, interrupting the conversation between the two men who sat inside. Henry quickly stood up from his chair, asking what had happened to Aria. You were unable to answer, choking on your own snot as more tears streamed down your face than you could have ever expected. Henry grabbed his phone, dialing 911 as you stood there, holding the body that was only supported by your hands and arms. William spoke up, offering to take Aria's body from you, gently holding it and allowing you to finally let out your full range of emotions.
You could hold the heartbreak no longer and you fell to the floor in a disheveled heap as your grief poured out in a flood of uncontrollable tears. You covered your face with your bloody hands, staining it with deep scarlet prints. You knew you could never feel clean ever again. Gut-wrenching sobs tore through your chest as Henry leaned down to you, rubbing your back. Seeking comfort, you engulfed him in a hug in which he was quick to reciprocate, rubbing circles on you with his thumbs and telling you to let it all out. And so you did, for as long as you could, anyway.
"Okay, Y/N. I'm gonna get all the customers out of the building. You just sit down on the couch," Henry mumbled, letting go of you and standing up, leaving you with William in the room.
You didn't say anything, you just flopped face-first down onto the bouncy leather couch in the corner of henry's office, continuing your high-pitched wailing. "Darling, are you o-" you cut him off. "Does it look like i'm okay? C-cut it out with the nicknames, too! You're fucking creepy!" you howled, trashing against the couch in an act to let out your anger.
"I fucking needed her! I loved her! I'm going through hard times, and now one of the only people that were supporting me through it is fucking gone! And you have the audacity to ask me if i'm okay?" You propped yourself up against the couch, wiping away the tears that weren't stuck to your cheeks. When you looked at William, he had an expression that looked like one of guilt, "I'm sorry," William said, his eyes on the floor. "I shouldn't have asked if you were okay. I knew you weren't." A grimace was etched into your face, and you replied, "Just.. Just shut up." you said, your voice shaking with emotion.
You exhaled the breath you didn't know you were holding, laying yourself down again on your back. You could feel yourself slowly slipping away before you finally fell asleep, Forgetting your sorrows in that moment.
