~|FINALLY SLIPPED OUT, DIDN'T IT?|~"No, they just suddenly came at the door and nabbed William. I didn't even get time to process it." You said in a tedious tone, taking a bite out of your food. Lo had asked you to come along to the café with Joe, and got Val to tag along so they could get to know each other, which surprisingly had gone well. Often, you would have to stop joe from biting your friend, so you'd consider this lunch a win.
"And.... Why were you in bed with Afton? If i may ask, of course." Lo winked at you, whilst Joe and Val giggled quietly. "Well.. I- " You tried to finish my sentence, but Val interrupted you. "Is that..." she seemed shocked at what she was seeing, so you looked behind you quickly.
William.
You were shocked at what you saw, and you thought over it for a few seconds. "Huh- I-"
That moment, everything came back to you. You wondered if the photos were real and looked back at your friends with a blank expression. You pulled out your wallet and placed dollar bills on the table. You said, "I have to go," with a venomous tone, confusing your friends even more. You immediately got up from your chair, dashed out of the café, and into your mom's car.
"Oh you, you motherfucking- Ugh!" You turned the engine on, slamming your hands onto the wheel and ripping out of the parking space. You heard the screech of the tires against the concrete as you steered with anger fuelling you. You headed over to afton's house, not spotting William or his car anywhere. You took that as a neutral sign, not even parking before you hopped out of the car, stomping your way to the front door.
You walked up the porch and began pounding on the door, your whole body tense as you waited for the answer.
"Coming!" A muffled voice yelled out, tiny footsteps being heard. A couple moments later, the door opened slightly and a boy peeked out. "Oh." Michael breathed out, fully opening the door with a tiny creak. "Michael!" You growled out, bending down to his level and grabbing his arms. "Where's william?!"
"I- dunno," he answered monotonously, shrugging his shoulders. "Michael. That night, when i was over at your house and you tried telling me something — What was it?" You inquired, the anger slowly leaving your body as you calmed down. His eyes seemed to widen at this, and you could feel his body heating up with nervousness.
"I-" He started, gulping and sighing loudly. "Come in.."
He lead you into the house, walking over to the couch where Elizabeth and Evan were, watching some children's movie. "Lizzy. Evan. Go upstairs." He ordered, the two of them looking at him. Evan seemed to obey immediately, getting up from the couch and waddling his way upstairs, Fredbear plush in hand. Elizabeth however, puffed up her cheeks and crossed her arms.
Feeling a sense of urgency, you released Michael's hand, which you had been grasping tightly, and leaned towards Elizabeth. "Lizzy, this is important, please would you go upstairs?" You spoke in a gentle tone while caressing her hair. She seemed to listen to you, rising up from the couch and heading upstairs.
Next, you turned to Michael, and an air of tension permeated the room. With a raised eyebrow and a slight shift of your position on the couch, you inquired, "Well, what's the verdict?"
Michael's voice was hesitant as he began to speak, his eyes drifting down to his fidgeting hands. "Well, you know how Lizzy gets when she's engrossed in her shows," he explained, his tone apologetic. "I figured she wouldn't even notice if I snuck away for a bit, so I decided to take a little detour into the basement."
There was a moment of silence as the gravity of his actions settled in. "I know Father had forbidden us from going down there, but I couldn't stop myself from snooping a little," Michael admitted, his voice tinged with guilt. "I didn't expect to find anything, but-"
