Meeting ( chapter 3 )

You and soap both arrived at the shooting range outside and he looked down at you to see that you were deep in thought .
" What are you thinking about ?."
He asked .
" Okay this has been on my mind but do you guys care about me , not only for my skill ?."
You asked .
" Well yeah why wouldn't we ? ."
He said confused.

" You only got me since you needed my skill so I wondered if you guys really cared ."
You shrugged .
" You are a part of the team now zero , we are all like family to each other."
Soap reassured .
" okay okay , promise me ."
You said sternly.
" I promise ."
Soap said as he gave you a small smile .
" Let's get to training."
He spoke as he walked you to a table that was laid out with weapons .

" woah "
You said under your breath as you looked at everything.
Soap handed you some glasses and head gear to put on and you looked up at him.
" use the headphones , we don't need you going deaf and glasses are for eye safety ."
He said as he pointed .
You nodded and put on the glasses and headphones and you gave him a thumbs up . The headphones were a bit big but they did the trick.

He picked up a small handgun and he showed it to you .
" alright so to put the safety on you switch the button on so if you pull the trigger while this button is switched you can't shoot anyone or anything ."
He spoke as he showed you .
You nodded and looked at the gun and saw the safety .

'' This is the clip , basically  allowing you to hold ammunition together for easier loading and storage. They are generally constructed with steel stamping to hold individual rounds as a unit, which are then loaded into a magazine or the firearm itself. The two most common types of clips are the en bloc clip and stripper clip.''
He stated .

'' what in the what now ?.''
You said confused .
'' basically the clip holds rounds aka bullets .''
He said hoping it would get through that thick skull of yours .
There was a target already set up so he checked the clip and you watched as he took the gun in hand and he took a shot hitting the target of a human in the abdomen . The loud bang echoed throughout but thankfully your headphones did the trick of keeping your hearing .

He handed you the gun and you held onto it by the grip and you felt the heaviness of it in your hand . you looked at it and soap gave you a little nod basically telling you to shoot already so you got ready and held your arm out and you focused on the target . you aimed straight for the head and you breathed in and you pulled the trigger.

You looked at the target to hit it in the neck and soap gave you a little proud look .
'' nice shot , just needs more practice .''
He said with a little smile .
'' this is cool .''
You said with a giddy grin .
'' are you good with throwing knives ?.''
He asked you while picking up a throwing knife .

You felt something whizz past your head and you heard it hit the target and you looked to see your knife . you looked at soap and you saw he still had his knife in hand . you looked at him confused and then you turned around to see Ghost standing there .

'' you crazy fuck, trying to kill me already ?.''
You were shocked by what had just happened .
'' oi language .'' soap said as he nudged you .
'' if i wanted you dead i would've killed you already .''
Ghost said plainly as he walked over .

'' I will train her for this , go . price wants to go over with you about what laswell wants us about.''
Ghost said sternly .
What is this guy's deal though , like seriously , you thought .
'' i'll be back zero , don't worry alright .''
He said as he tapped your  shoulder and left out of the shoot range .
You watched as soap left and it was now you and Ghost .

'' again .''
He said sternly .
You picked up a knife and you went to throw it but GHost tapped under your arm and you lifted it a little and you bent your arm . Ghost helped you fix the placing of your hand on the knife and he pulled away from you and nodded . you looked up at him and then back at the target
You took your chance and threw it and caught it in the center .
'' how'd i do ?.''
You asked .

'' better then what soap probably would have taught you .''
He huffed out .
'' so why do they call you zero ?.''
He asked.
'' okay its kinda stupid but its cause when i was in school i would only get zeros in math so they just kinda started calling me that .''
You shrugged .

'' do they call you Ghost cause you never around ?.''
You asked .
'' No.''
He said sternly .
'' so why then ?.''
You budged .
'' i'll tell you later , but for now it is training–'
'' We need to head out at ten , it's urgent . Laswell wants us at her office soon . ''
Soap said as he cut off ghost .
Ghost nodded and affirmative and he followed behind soap .
'' barely did any training but okay .''
You said as you followed behind them .
You followed behind Ghost and soap.

You followed them into the rec room and saw Price and Gaz standing there waiting and you looked at them confused .
'' so you guys gonna let me in on what's happening or what ?.''
You said not knowing what all the fuss was about .
'' were heading out to laswell's now , listen while your there .''
Price said sternly .
You nodded and price walked out of the room and the others followed along with you.

You stood next to Ghost and you walked through the hallways .
You passed many soldiers and such but one particular gave you a dirty look . you looked back at him and stopped and you turned to face the soldiers.
'' aye you got a problem , go fuck off .''
You yelled at him and the soldier walked off .

Soap turned to look at you and gave you a confused look.
'' what was that for ?.''
He asked confused .
'' he gave me a look .''
You said sternly.
'' alright save it for later we have things to do .''
Price said .

You walked in front of a door that had a silver plate on it that said laswell on hit .
Price knocked on the door  and once you heard a 'come in' you all walked in and were met by a lady .
'' oh hey i know you .''
You said to Laswell .
'' yes , we met before when we brought you here .''
She said,
'' you will be going on your first mission .''
She said and you made a little worried face.
'' dont worry youll be fine .''
She reassured you .

'' listen good .''
Price said sternly .
'' Alright we got notified of there being missiles located on a cargo shipment container out on a ship in the Atlantic ocean . you will be accompanied  by commander grave along with some of the shadow company , this is where zero comes in.''
Laswell spoke as she pulled up the location on a tablet .

'' zero will hack into the system to try and deactivate the systems .''
She said and you listened in .
'' wait i barely got any training , this is a suicide mission for me .''
You said a bit worried .
'' you'll be fine as long as you follow orders got thar ?.''
Price spoke .
'' yep.''
You said trying to brush off the worried feeling .

You had very little training and they wanted you to come on a mission , your first ever one .
Kinda weird that you just got there and you're already getting to work . you don't even know how you ended up there since kids weren't allowed in the military but hey you're in a home and that's all that matters .

'' be at the heli in 30 , get ready and don't screw this up .''
Laswell said before dismissing you and the  others .
This mission was gonna just be great.....just great .
