News ( chapter 21 )

" Where were you two last night ?."
Gaz  asked as he poured some offer into his mug as he looked at you and ghost sitting down at the table .
" on the roof chilling."
You said simply as you ate some cereal .
" How come ?."
He asked again while taking a seat next to you.
" just talking is all..."
You said while Giving him a little smile and continuing to eat .

You thought about last night and you were very thankful for ghost being there for you , you were thankful soaps goofy ass was with you and everyone else but prices words replayed through your head.  You shook off the thought as you watched soap walk into the Rec room .
" Well you're up early sleeping beauty."
You said towards soap.
" yeah yeah ."
He said as he waved to you and walked into the kitchen .

" Price wants us to meet with Laswell in two hours so get ready ."
Gaz added in .
You nodded and nudged ghost and he looked down at you..
" Yes ?."
He asked.
" Do I gear up after this ?."
You asked not being sure of how you should dress.
'' Yes , gear up and meet here . then we will head to laswells.''
He said as he got most likely to gear up as well.
You quickly finished your cereal and you got up and threw your bowl into the sink and you dashed down the hallway into your room . you closed the door and you stripped quickly from your clothes and grabbed your black cargo with a black shirt. You struggled to get your pants on a bit since the ends got snagged on your foot but you pulled it through and pulled them . you fixed your shirt and you sat on the floor and you put on some socks with your boots .

You then  grabbed a black beanie and you stuffed your hair in it . You then put on your vest and you fixed the straps and made it tighter and you put all your knives in the vest . you then got up and you rolled your shirt arm up and saw that your wound had stopped bleeding and it was now slowly healing . It was a sore trust and belief but it didn't hurt as much as it did before . you grabbed whatever else you needed and you ran out the room into rec room to see Ghost geared up along with Gaz an price.

'' soap hurry your ass up were waiting 1.''
You shouted down the hallway.
'' i'm coming im coming .''
He chuckled as he jogged out of his room to you and the others.
'' Alright boys and children, we have a meeting to go to . well get info on the mission and head out .''
Price spoke sternly .
'' you know for someone with a high position in the military talks a lot of shit and thinks we don't know.''
You rolled your eyes and thought back to what he said last night.
You really wish he hadn't said that and you were still thinking if it was even true or not , if anything they said was true.
'' you know i figured I confronted you in front of the others since the others knew but no one said shit and the only one who really came to me was Ghost .''
You spoke getting more angry.
'' i don't get it ?.''
Price said sternly .

'' oh you don't ? must be the alzheimer's kicking in .''
You snapped  back .

'' you had said you only needed me for missions , you didn't give two shits and the only ones who really did were soap , Ghost and gaz . im not just some fucking tool alright im a human being and only reason im going on this missions is cause i dont want to leave Ghost and the others but ill gladly leave you .''
You spoke sternly towards price.
'' alright y/n well deal with this later but for now we must head out.''
Price said back to you earning you to roll your eyes again.

GHost was proud of you to say the least , he was proud that  you stood up for yourself and confronted the old bastard .Price nodded while walking out and the others followed behind . you followed behind next to Ghost . soap walked back and was now next to you and he gave you a small knowing look but he nudged your shoulder.
'' well handle it later alright , for now we handle this okay.''
Soap said softly and you huffed annoyed and nodded
Ghost looked down at you and made sure you were alright but then he remembered your shoulder.

'' zero how's your shoulder?.''
He spoke.
'' its fine , a little sore but fine .''
You said as you looked at all the other soldiers in the hallways.
Ghost nodded, giving you a silent okay and he kept walking straight.
You saw other soldiers working as usual and you saw that one soldier you saw the other soldiers from the cafeteria and you shot them a dirty look . they quickly walked off not wanting to cause trouble and you smiled to yourself.
'' pussys .''
You said quietly to yourself with a chuckle.

It wasn't long until you reached Lasswell's office door . you saw the gold plating on the door with her last name on it and you took a deep breath and exhaled. Price knocked on the door and after a minute you heard a ' come in ' from the other side and price opened the door to reveal Laswell sitting at her desk with a few papers scattered around and a tablet .
'' nice seeing you all again .''
Laswell spoke .
'' alright let's get to the point here , you all have a mission set up in the wilderness in canada .''
She started off earning a weird look from you .
'' isn't it like freezing cold up there ?.''
You asked .
'' it is but dont worry , we have some winter gear set up for you all .''
She spoke , easing your worries about the snow.
You never liked the snow, you'd always complain to archers when it did snow and they always managed to throw snow at you when it did snow . in the moment you hated it but now you look back and wish it still happened .

'' There is a group of shadows lingering throughout getting ready to send  missiles to the Russians , zero will disarm the missiles through the tablet and you boys will handle the shadows.''
She said as she handed you the tablet and you looked back at her and gave a nod .
'' You'll pick up your gear in the corridor and your humvee will be waiting there . you'll get there by truck since  it is less likely for you to be seen . once your close enough to the target you'll head on foot .''
You looked at the others and you realized the dangers of going into Canadian wilderness .
'' uhhh .....''
You stood quiet and gaz looked at you funny.
'' what is it kid ?.''
He asked, confused.

'' aren't there like bears and shit up in canada ?.''
You said, sounding a bit worried.
'' yes but trust me you'll all be fine.''
Laswell reassured you.
'' Your stuff should be heading to the corridor now, get ready and suit up . dont fuck this up we need to complete this mission.''
Laswell said sternly and you all nodded in unison.
This was gonna be one hell of a shit show that you didn't know what would happen .
