'' shepherd put me in command of this operation from here on out .''
Graves spoke again .
Why would he do this ? Was he the one who started the other's last mission bullshit ? you thought .
'' yall need to stand down and let the pros handle this .''
Graves said again .
'' for someone who is in command they sure talk a lot of shit .''
You said sternly .
It was true , he talked so much shit but if something were to happen he would send his shadows to do his dirty work .

'' i would watch your tone little lady , this isn't a negotiation .''
He said towards you .
'' i'm not little you prick.''
You spat.
You went to step forward but you were pulled back by ghost.
'' i got my orders and you have yours .''
He said.
'' and who the fuck do you think you are cabron ?.''
Alejandro said sternly .

'' my men are inside !.''
Alejandro shouted .
This was going south , you wanted to run and get your laptop but you were afraid to get shot by one of the shadows .
'' i'm afraid not , you men have been ...detained ..''
Graves said in a low , stern tone .
Within seconds Alejandro lunged at graves , graves pushed him into the humvee next to him . one of the shadows pinned him to the humvee and tied his hands behind his back with zip ties.
'' graves what the fuck !.''
Soap shouted .

It was all a blur until you felt bullets whizz past your head , the loudness of pangs filled the air. Ghost pushed you behind him and he elbowed the soldier near him and took out one of his throwing knives quickly and threw it at the soldier in front of him . He then took his knife and stabbed the other soldier in his neck , blood pooling down as he took it out .

Soap choked out the soldier that was on his ass and he made sure that he was out before he lied him on the ground . Ghost threw another knife at a soldier that Alejandro was struggling with and killed him . Another shadow grabbed Alejandro and he put up a fight but got a blow to the head. Graves hit him in the head with the blunt end of his gun causing him to collapse on the floor .

Soap shot at one at soldiers shooting him dead center causing the soldier to collapse and lie dead. He then went to shoot another soldier but Graves took this to his advantage and went to shoot at soap . Grave pulled the trigger and soap went to cover himself but it was too late . You saw this and you quickly got up and block him, taking the hit for him.

" fuck ."
You hissed as you felt a sting to your shoulder.you tried to move but it was no use all you felt was pain . You cried out as you got up and you touched your shoulder but pulled away quickly and your eyes widened .
" shit ."
You whispered under your breath as you saw the dark crimson cover your hand .
" y/n !."
Soap said worried as he got up .
" fuck y/n's been hit !."
Soap yelled to ghost

Graves started to circle around and look around the humvee for any sight of any more men from task force 141 .
" Go Johnny get her out of there now !."
Ghost shouted back .
" Go now !."
Ghost shouted again and soap grabbed you carefully and started to head off . You held back your tears of pain and you kept speed waking carefully with soap .

Ghost tried to shoot off more of the shadows to cover you and soap so you could escape and he held them off best of possible . more shadows started to shoot at you and soap as you rushed out of there . you felt bullets graze your arms and You watched in horror and you felt like you wanted to hide. Soap pulled a hand gun and he started to shoot back at them the best he could .

Ghost hid around and watched as graves and the others shadow looked for him , he killed quickly and fled quicker than his kill .
'' Are you there Ghost ? , that was a big mistake brother. It did not have to be like this .''
Graves said as he walked throughout searching for the brute . graves peered behind humvees and more looking for the masked man but there was no sign of him .
'' sonava bitch .''
Graves muttered .

Graves ordered his soldiers to find ghosts , including you and the others . didn't know why you jumped in front of him , was it instinct ? he thought . your adrenaline didn't die down after and you walked through an empty quiet town . you heard the screams of women and men and you flinched when you heard gunshots . you had your back on a brick wall and your legs sprawled out , you and soap were currently hiding in an ally way to keep clear of the soldiers so when they left you would be able to head off .

Soap clicked on his radio to see if he could get in touch with Ghost but all the radio signals were shadows . After a few seconds he found a signal that wasn't filled with the voices of shadows so he decided to give it a shot .
'' this is bravo 7-1 in the blind , how copy ?.''
Soap said quietly over the radio .
'' ghost this is 7-1 do you copy .''
He said more sternly in hopes of getting an answer back but there was no avail.

He looked back at you and saw the tears welled up in your eyes and he quickly rushed over to you .
'' shit .''
He muttered under his breath while taking out a small med kit from his vest.
'' a-am i gonna fucking die ?.''
You said worriedly as tears threatened to fall at any minute .
'' you won't die alright , your stupid for doing what you did though.''
He rasped out as he kneeled down and he took out some tweezers and gauze along with a small needle and thread .

'' wait wait wait what are you doing with that .''
You said quickly , eyeing the metal instruments .
'' relax you'll be fine .''
He said as he went closer ,
You instinctively pulled away and he went for your left side and you flinched and closed your eyes. He lifted your sleeve gently showing your wound and You grabbed onto his forearm tightly. He took a deep breath and stuck the tweezers in your wound and grabbed the bullet . you start to breathe quickly and you have a lethal grip on him , he was sure he was gonna have a handprint in a few minutes , he was actually surprised on how tight you can hold onto him. . He took out the bullet carefully and he looked at you with sorrow in his eyes .

'' sorry kid .''
He muttered as he picked up the needle and started to stitch .
With every passing moment , he stuck the needle in your skin and started to stitch up your wound . Once he was done he put gauze on it and wrapped it with a small roll of bandages he had . He wrapped your arm ever so carefully and once he was done he put the medkit back in his vest and looked at you .
'' your done , its over .''
He said calmly and you looked at him and let go of his forearm .

'' i-i...i wanna go back home ....if that's what i can call it...''
You said quietly .
'' we will trust me , we need to go find ghost and the others and get out of here to see whats wrong.''
Soap said while helping you up .
'' why did ya take one for me ?.''
Soap asked .
'' because ..i didn't want to lose another person , i don't want to lose family again ''
You said quietly .
Soap had a pang of sadness hit him , he knows you've been through a lot but he doesn't know what it is .
'' who did you lose ?.''
He asked hesitantly.

'' i-...i dont wanna talk about it ...''
You said and he nodded in understanding.
You've only told Ghost and that night on the roof did something , you felt comforted and safe . something that you rarely felt .
'' cost is clear , we head out .''
Soap said as he grabbed your hand gently and led you to follow him.

'' soap this is Ghost , how copy ?.''
Ghost said plainly through the radio getting a surprised but hurt look from you.
Soaps' eyes winded a bit and he quickly grabbed his radio and answered .
'' solid .''
Soap replied.
'' How's y/n ? .''
He asked .
'' She's good , just patched her up . ''
Soap said as he looked at you .
'' i thought we lost her .''
Ghost said .
'' no thankfully .''
Soap sighed in relief .

'' meet me by the nearby light colored truck , don't know the name so that's the best description i can give ya .''
Ghost spoke .
'' alright we're heading there now .''
Soap said and you nodded and followed his lead .

You didn't know what to do , you still wondered if you would make it through this . you didn't want a life of blood and death with constant fear around you . you wanted a normal life like most kids but you highly doubted you would get that . I mean at least you had Ghost and soap , they were the closest living things you had to family and if you didn't do what you had done you would have lost another one you deep down cherished . even if you had only spent over a week , maybe more with them you've grown to like them over those days . you didn't want to see anymore people you die , you wanted to grow distant as a way to prevent yourself from getting attached and hurt mentally but you just couldn't . you got attached and if you lose someone now the harder it is to let them go and to see them go .
