You finally arrived at base and you ran ahead of the others quickly and stepped into your room you wholeheartedly missed . You took a deep breath as you entered it and you smiled to yourself . You quickly shut the door behind you and you kicked off your boots and you placed your bloody vest and clothes outside of your room because you didn't want it to stink or dirty your floors and you started to strip.

You took off all your old mission clothes piece by piece and put them in your hamper/soiled  clothes bin. You carefully took off the bandages off your arm and you saw the blood cruested to it  causing you to gag . You took it off fully and you saw soaps work of stitching and it would surely leave a scar for sure but hey at least you were alive right ?. Scars were beautiful in every way and form , it shows that you got over a fight and recovered from it . Archer was the one to tell you these things when you got a scrape on the knee or a cut on your hand from opening a can .

You grabbed your towel and a pair of clean pajama pants along with a shirt and you quickly stepped into your  bathroom and turned on the water . You washed no time and hopped in. Goosebumps littered your skin as you had not waited for the water to get warm but you didn't care . You ran the water under your hair and you sat there for a second and smiled . This feels nice, you thought to yourself . After a minute of enjoying that you were now back safely Along with the others .

You grabbed the lovely 3-1 and you looked over the bottle . It's better than nothing but I'll keep in mind to ask price if we go to the store if they even have one to get proper shampoo and maybe an actual bar of soap . You said to yourself keeping a mental note to do that .

You squirted some of the 3-1 in your hand and you lathered it in your hair and started to scrub your scalp thoroughly . Once  your hair was nice and lathered up you got to washing your body with your good arm . You made sure to carefully wash around your injury on your shoulder and you made sure to wash off all the blood . You lathered  up your skin and washed the grime off and watched how it all washed down the drain .

You had  thoughts , you thought about what you would do after this , maybe watch a movie or something with soap ? . Your thoughts kept running but one hit you hard , you had killed graves. You were glad he was dead but was it too extreme ? Nah he tried to kill soap his ass deserved  it . You thought.

It was a givin to be back at base and you were glad you were back . Once you finished washing yourself off you turned off the water and you stepped out carefully and wrapped yourself in your towel . You looked in the foggy mirror and you wiped it off so you could see yourself and you made a small smile and started to dry your hair . You rubbed through it to get all the water out and you were enjoying the time alone now that you were not cramped in a humvee stuck to a bunch of sweaty men .

You wondered what the others were up to but they were most likely doing the same thing you were doing. You kept doing the normal and drying your hair until you felt something fuzzy rub against your foot . Your blood went cold as you looked down at your foot and you saw a nice little plump rat sniffing your foot . Your eyes widened and you let out a scream of fear and you ran out of your room , towel still wrapped around you.

You ran into the Rec room and into the kitchen. Soap looked up from the couch confused and saw you digging through one of the draws .
" y/n you alright !?Why are you in a towel !? ."
Soap said confused yet panicked.
" there's a fucking rat in my room I'm gonna kill ."
You said as you picked up a knife from the drawer as you turned to face him.you didn't care how you looked at the moment but all you wanted was the thing out of your room . You ran back to your room and saw the rat and you went to stab it but you saw soap outside in the hallway.

" y/n don't kill it "
He said from outside.
" What do you want me to do with it ?."
You said panicked.
" Can I come in ? ."
He asked and you gave an okay.
He had a container with him and he saw the rat near your feet and he gently trapped the rat and he put the lid on the container and picked it up.
" We can release it outside , and get dressed alright ."
He said while walking out with the rat .
You nodded in confusion as you watched him leave your room and shut the door behind you .

You dried yourself off fully now and you got some bandages from your bathroom and you wrapped your shoulders gently , now that you don't have to worry about anymore chaos and you put on some black  pajama pants with a white hoodie. you made sure that you looked decent.once you were don't you put on spray and deodorant since you forgot and you looked at yourself in the mirror .
" alright ."
You said to yourself as you stepped out of your bathroom and you walked out of your room with your phone that you kept hidden away .

You walked back to the Rec room and saw ghost asking soap about you.
" She's fine, there was just a rat ."
Soap reassured the masked man .
'' sorry about the commotion there was a rat in my room .''
You said with a nervous laugh towards the man .
Ghost nodded and went back to doing what he was doing but he brushed past you and gave soap a look causing you to be confused .
'' what was that about ?. ''
You asked while walking up to soap.
'' big brute over there thought something had happened to you and went towards me .''
Soap shook his head .

'' well now thats out of the way uh you want to do something ?.''
You asked as you walked towards the fridge for a snack .
'' if you want we can go see the k-9 units down near main part of base i mean only if you like dogs.''
Soap said with a little smile .
you looked up at him with a  little cheeky grin and giggle .
'' i freaking love animals dude , especially dogs .''
You giggled happily .
'' we can go now if you want-
'' YES .''
You said quickly and happily as you grabbed a protein bar from the fridge real quick , you didn't know why they were in there but you like them cold so you didn't care .

you hadn't eaten in a while so that protein bar was the best thing in the world to you at the moment , aside from what soap had said . soap figured he'd bring you to see the fluffy dangerous fur balls to get your mind off things .

He knew how the mission went for you and he knew something was up with you but he didn't just know what was the reason. He was still stuck on why you had taken that bullet for him but he didn't want to pressure so he left it at that. Ghost was the only one who really knew about you but he never said anything , deep down you really cared about him as well even if he was a grump...majority of the time . you hid behind a smile but deep down you were really hurting.

You've been through alot and what had happened on the mission added to it but you knew that you had someone to talk to now , referring to ghost . you could talk to him if you needed and you knew that you just needed to ask or he would somehow magically find you in your newly found spot on the roof . you hoped to forget everything but it wasn't gonna be easy but you knew that this new family of yours would help you through it .
'' go put your shoes on so we can head out .''
Soap said and you quickly nodded and ran to your room to put on your sneakers.
This was gonna be fun to take a breather from death and blood . I mean you saw ghost kill multiple shadows , he even ran one over which you thought was fucked up but funny at the same time but for now it was time for you to relax and rest .
