Pandora and Nymphadora weren't able to hang out often through the year. This was Pandora's last year, so she was rather busy studying and doing homework in her free time, when she wasn't with Enzo. Nymphadora was busy with school often too, but not as busy as Pandora. The younger girl didn't have to worry as much about school yet, even though she tried her best in every class.
Since Nymphadora and Pandora had a day that neither of them were busy, the cousins decided to finally spend a day together. It wasn't a Hogsmeade day, so the two weren't able to go out, but they were able to hang out on Hogwarts grounds. There was quite a bit to do on the grounds that wasn't in the town.
The first thing they did together was eat breakfast. Enzo ate with them, since he wanted time with his mother before she spent the day away from him. He wasn't too happy when Pandora left him alone with Bill and Casen. He didn't like seeing her walking away from him, and not turning around when he cried out for her. In her defense, she could barely hear him over all of the loud students in the Great Hall.
After breakfast, the two went out to the Black Lake. Often times, the girls would sit and gossip about school or other students. Obviously, they didn't believe any of the rumors they heard, but they sometimes liked to come up with their own theories about some of the students around Hogwarts. Pandora wasn't always the best at coming up with wild ideas, but Nymphadora definitely made up for that. She had some of the craziest theories about some students, and even some professors. She loved sharing all of her theories with Pandora and Charlie.
"I swear Dumbledore's beard has magical powers," Nymphadora commented,"I mean, think about it, Panda. He never shaves it off, and it's never out of place. I think he's lived so long and is so old because his beard gives him the power of immortality." She said, causing Pandora to laugh.
"That's ridiculous, Dora," Pandora replied,"If that was true, wouldn't you think he would've used his magical beard powers to find himself a partner by now. He's really old, and has no kids, that would make immortality boring." She added, which caused Nymphadora to smirk.
"Which is exactly why he is the headmaster of Hogwarts. We're like the children he'd never have, and this way, when he gets sick of us, he can send us home, and when we become of age, he gets to trade us for new ones." Nymphadora stated, making Pandora laugh.
"You're wild," Pandora retorted,"by the way, that theory makes him sound like a pedophile." She added, and Nymphadora scoffed and rolled her eyes.
"You knew exactly what I meant when I told you my theory." She retorted, causing Pandora to nod with another laugh.
When Pandora and Nymphadora were together, Pandora felt like she was completely free. Pandora could always laugh and be herself around her younger cousin. Nymphadora always seemed to bring out the more fun and carefree side of Pandora that nobody else really got to see. The only people who seen even a little bit of her carefree and happy attitude was Bill, Casen, Enzo, and Charlie, oh, and of course Ted and Andromeda.
Charlie just so happened to be around often when Nymphadora was around, so Pandora was use to having him around. Pandora had always known Charlie just a little bit, but the more time she spent with him, the more comfortable she felt around him. She hoped she could eventually feel the same way around the rest of the Weasleys as well.
"So, how are you and Bill?" Nymphadora asked, causing Pandora to smile.
"We're doing really well. Everything's seemed to get even better after Bill asked me to be Enzo's mother. I just—I'm so scared I could mess things up with him by accident, and he'd never forgive me, or everything would change between us." Pandora replied, making Nymphadora chuckle.
"Panda," Nymphadora started, graphing her cousin's hand,"that would never happen. Bill loves you more than any other girl he's ever been with. He and Enzo are so lucky to have you in their lives. Charlie told me just how much his family adored you, so you don't have to worry about his family trying to change Bill's mind about you," She said,"Honestly, I'm a bit jealous of your relationship. I wish I could have someone love me so much and as purely as Bill loves you." She added, causing Pandora to smile.
"Dora, I'm telling you right now, I'm calling it. You'll find yourself a man that'll love you for all your quirks and beauty. He'll think you're the most beautiful woman in the world. You'll fall in love, get married, and have a child. I know you said you'd never want to have children, but I have a feeling you'll find the man that'll change that one day." Pandora stated, making Nymphadora smile as well.
Pandora knew that Nymphadora was worried about finding a boyfriend that would love her for her clumsiness, and her quirks. She was a metamorphmagus, so she wasn't like everyone else, but Pandora loved her all the same. Pandora was sure that Nymphadora would find someone to love her, and the man would probably be just as different as she was.
"Y'know, Mum would love to be in on this girly talk we're having." Nymphadora commented, and Pandora laughed.
"Oh, I know. Andy's a fool for girl talk." Pandora replied, causing her cousin to laugh as well.
The two girls were happy. Their lives were going in a direction that they were happy with, and that they could somewhat control. They didn't have to worry about what was lurking in the shadows, other than mean Slytherins. Everything was turning out better than Pandora's life had started, which was more than Pandora could ever hope for...
