Chapter-5(Adapting to my new life part-2)

"miss your parents can't come and send the best doctor and nurse to take care of you".
Said my nanny.

"Why??" I asked . My voice was hoarse because of fever.

"They are on a business trip madam and couldn't come"

' as expected another business trip. What do I expect even when I am having a serious viral fever they are busy with business. Why does it hurt this is not the first time they did this so, why?????'

"Okay "

Then the doctor came and the nurse started taking care of me.
I woke up in the middle of the night. I looked around and didn't see the nurse, maybe she left. It is raining outside I am afraid of thunder. I want someone to hold me and tell me that it's okay but there is no one.

I am all alone in a big, luxurious room.
Though the room is warm my heart is cold. That night I cried myself to sleep.

I woke up from my sleep only to know that I had a dream about my past life and  that I was sweating. I looked out only to see that it was heavily raining outside and suddenly started thundering. I got out of the bed and started making my way to my parents room.

While I was hesitating whether to knock or not suddenly the door opened.
My parents came out and saw me. My dad picked me up and said " it's okay baby dad is here. Sleep well" with that he started patting my back.

" Did I disturb your sleep dad??" I asked

"No baby, your mom and I are coming to your room as we know that you are afraid of thunder. So you don't have any other thoughts and sleep well baby" saying this he carried me to their room and made me sleep between them.
Then my mom sang a lullaby. I loved this new experience.

If I get this much love and care by being Lina then I don't mind being Lina.
Now Dolly Carson will live as Lina Wilson the only daughter of the Duke Lucas Wilson and the Duchess Elena Guiverra.

Her voice is so sweet and soothing that  I fell asleep peacefully with a smile on my face.

It's been a week since the night I decided to live as Lina. My life changed completely they love and care for me .
They filled my dull life with happiness.
They are very overprotective of me but I am enjoying every bit of it. My father never let me walk he always carries me saying that " your cute feet would hurt while walking I can't bear to see you hurt again" '  awwww , he is so sweet . I know he is worried about me but he looks cute with a frown on his face'.

I came to know Lina fell into the small lotus pond in the backyard and my soul entered her body after this incident. She also hit her head to the edge of the pool. This incident led my parents to be overprotective of me.

One fine evening came an invitation from the imperial family more precisely from the empress asking for my mother's presence. This had me worried because in the original novel my mom and the empress are childhood friends. In the next six months the empress will die because of some incurable disease before dying she asks my mother to fulfill her promise of making me her daughter-in-law. Thus I will get engaged to the crown prince in the novel.

My father also promises to take care of the crown prince as he owns the empress a favour. In the novel after Lina dies the Duchess couldn't take the shock and almost collapsed. It's a heavy blow for the Duke to them and get entangled in a conspiracy. The crown prince banished them from the empire.

My mom was bedridden and due to lack of her will to live then my dad also died out of heart attack as he couldn't handle the grief of the death of his daughter and his wife.

I can't let this happen I don't want anything to happen to them. This is my family. I will make sure that my family stays safe. For this to happen I have to avoid the crown prince as far as I know tomorrow is the first time they met. So let's start the Operation: Avoiding the Crown Prince.
