Chapter- 20(Belinda and Helen)

Lina POV

My father was silent all the way home as if he is thinking deeply about something. My mom was way too excited to speak. So we went to the Duke Mansion in silence. We reached the mansion around 6pm in the evening. As soon as we entered the hall my father asked me follow him. So, here we are in his study.

" Baby do you have anything to tell me" he asked me gently.

" Yes, dad" I said explaining him about my supernatural powers.

" Ok baby don't tell anyone about your powers for now. Go back to your room and have some rest baby. You look tired." he said.

I nodded and went back to my room thinking about today's incident.

Lucius POV

Great that brat is the first one to even know about my daughter's supernatural powers. She even healed him. I was shocked seeing her healing him when I entered the garden after visiting Alisha's grave. I was wondering what had this brat done to win my daughter's trust. I will see him tomorrow in his training. I am very angry with that brat at the same time I feel sorry for him too.I know the attack on the garden was planned by Belinda. I am sure Alexander also knows about this. It must be hard for that child. I saw a shadow of myself in him, my past self. The past which has nothing but darkness. I know his struggle and understand him better than anyone else as I myself faced the same situation. At that time Harold( Alexander's grandfather) helped me out of the darkness. That is why I pay heed only to his words after my family. I am thankful to him for making me Lucius Wilson from Lucius Smith. Alexander is my responsibility I have to protect him very carefully.

Third person POV

In a room in the imperial palace the sound of objects breaking can be heard. A women is smashing the vases and teacups and every object in the room. The maids who were in the side watching her with fear in their eyes.

"How can I fail when I planned it so perfectly??!" She said.

" I saw the fire and smoke coming from the garden. I saw the gaurds taking water to put off the fire. Then how???? How can can the garden be so serene without any traces of burning. How?????" As she was yelling she smashed another vase.

" That little bastard Alexander must have done something. I thought after the Death of that bitch of his mother it will be easy for me to kill this little bastard but he has the support of that old bastard ( Harold- Alexander's grandfather). I can't hurt him physically so I planned to harm him mentally but my plan failed. The question is how?????"

" Your highness we got a letter from Princess Helen ( Emperor's sister)" said the maid shivering. She was a new maid so they sent her to the angry Belinda.

Belinda knew why Princess Helen(Emperor's sister) sent her a message she wants to know about the development of their plan. Yes, they planned it. Belinda and Helen are best friends. From the start Princess Helen never liked Alisha as she is more beautiful than her. Helen is always jealous of Alisha. She couldn't bear it when she get to know about her brother's loves Alisha but was happy when General Ezrif opposed their marriage. All her happiness died when her brother married Alisha secretly announcing her as the empress. Belinda was heartbroken when she came to know that the emperor married Alisha.

Belinda always liked the emperor she befriended Helen because she wanted the emperor to notice her. She tolerated her tantrums because of him. Of course she loved him because he was the emperor and she wanted to be the empress. She always thought that the empress chair belongs to her but then came Alisha crushing her dreams. The emperor married her and he even promised her that he would never take a concubine. It was hard for her to accept this so she turned Helen's jealousy towards Alisha's to hate. Helen loved Lucius but he loved Elena so with the help of they got married. This gave Belinda a chance to poison Helen's mind which led to Alisha's destruction. They both waited for a chance. They kept tabs on Alisha and got to know everything about her.They thought General Ezrif had cut off his ties with Alisha so it would be for them.So they tried many times to harm her but what they didn't expect was that Alisha still protected well by General Ezrif. They thought he will not care for her but he always kept his tabs on her. All their plans to hurt her failed. So they came up with a plan to hurt her mentally and waited for a perfect moment.

Soon the moment they are waiting for arrived soon then expected. Alisha fell sick that is what everyone thought but both Belinda and Helen had a hunch that Alisha is pregnant. Since Alisha fell sick the Emperor's visit to the empress palace also became less frequent. They used this gap between the couple to separate them. These days the emperor never touched Alisha because she is sick. Belinda later came to know that Alisha is pregnant, she also knew that Alisha is going to go to the emperor to surprise him so surprised Alisha in return by seducing the emperor. Later she trapped the emperor using her pregnancy. Alisha's ignorance towards the emperor also made her way towards the concubine seat very smooth. Later along with Helen they even tried to kill Alexander as they feared that he would be a hindrance to her child. That was when Harold sent someone to warn her about her actions. Yes, Harold loves Alexander a lot, this increased her anger and jealousy towards him even more.

When they heard about Alisha's death Belinda was ecstatic . Her dream of finally becoming an empress is finally going to come true.

She looked at the maid and smiled thinking that she would be the empress and dealing with Alexander would be easy. This plan failed, so what???? She will come up with another. She will make sure her son becomes the next emperor. She knew she have to try harder for this to happen as Alexander has the protection of Harold, General Ezrif and Lucius. Taking him down was not so easy with so many people gaurding him. But she will sdo her best to get rid of him.

With this thought she smirked. Her smirk made the maid tremble in fear. She took the letter from her the content is same as the one she thought it would. Helen was asking about their plan. She then wrote a letter answering her and asked the messenger to send it to Helen.

The next day

Alexander came to the Duke Mansion like any other day. Today when he saw Lina she didn't run away from him like she usually does but she came to him and wished him good morning with a smile. The made his morning really good.
