Chapter-25(Make a wish)

After 5 year's

Author's POV

In the middle of the night, three shadows are moving in the dark hallway and these shadows stopped in front of room. One of the three shadows did something and then the door opened,one of the shadows stayed outside the room. The remaining two shadows entered the room carefully without making any sound. One of the shadows reached the bed and poked the person on the bed. The person on the bed woke up as soon as the little shadow poked him. When the person sat on the bed the two shadows said "Happy Birthday" at the same time, that was when the lights in the room were turned on revealing the faces of the intruders. It was none other than Lina and Elena who came to Alexander's room to wish him. Maria stayed at the door with the birthday cake in her hand waiting for the order from her little Miss to enter the Crown Prince's room.

Lina's POV

In the middle of the night I was walking through the dark hallway with my mom and Maria towards Alex's bedroom. When we reached his room my mom opened the door with the spare key. Then I silently went near his bed and poked him on his shoulder to wake him up so that I could wish him as the clock just struck twelve.

He woke up as soon as I poked him on his shoulder as if he was not sleeping and that was when I wished him "Happy Birthday".

Then the lights were lit making the dark room bright and then I saw Alex looking at me with an emotion which I couldn't decipher and soon his expression changed to a slight smile.

"Thank you Lina" he said with a smile.

Then my mom and that was when my father entered the room. Then he wished Alex "happy birthday" with his usual cold face.

I called Maria inside the room and she entered the room with the cake we baked in the evening. She wished him then I lit the candle and handed him the knife.

He was about to blow the candles while I stopped him by asking him to make a wish before cutting the cake. He then closed his eyes and made his wish.

'I wonder what he is wishing for???'

'I will ask him about this later if it is in my hands then I will try my best to make his wish come true because he is my best friend. Yes, he is my best friend after getting along with him for five years I came to know a lot about Alex. He cares a lot about me, he understands me without me telling anything and he is very protective of me just like my dad. He is very easy to get along with and he has a beautiful smile. No wonder the original Lina fell in love with him cause he is everything a girl could ever want. He has all these qualities which can make any girl fall for him.' I thought.

He then cut the cake and fed the first piece to me. Then he fed my mom and then my dad. Maria returned after him cutting the cake.

" You can take a holiday for training tomorrow. Have a good sleep" saying this my father left with my mom after wishing me " good night"

It was only Alex and me in the room.

" Thank you, Lina. Is this why you didn't let me leave today??"asked Alex.

" Yes, if you have left how can I wish you?? That is why I asked my dad to stop you here today and this you ended up here. Did you like my surprise??" I asked him.

" Well, thank you for this, no has ever done this to me after my mother." He said, it looks like he is feeling sad as he is remembering his mother. Of course after her death there were no one for him to even wish him happy birthday. His grandfather just sends some gift with a letter wishing him birthday.

Even if General Ezrif and his family wants to celebrate his birthday because of the complications between him and the emperor makes it difficult for them even to visit him. Thus, he spends his birthday in the empress, palace mostly in the garden, of course I accompanied him and it has been a part of his every birthday but it is the first time I thought of giving him a surprise at midnight. I don't want him to be sad so I changed the topic.
