Chapter-19(Alexander's POV-2)

In the imperial palace

The room was filled with painful moans of pregnant women and two maids are preparing things necessary for the delivery of the child. A woman was sitting next to the pregnant woman on the bed and was whispering things trying to calm her down.Then the imperial doctor who just entered and immediately went and checked the pulse of the women. Then they started the delivery process as the necessary things are already arranged.

Outside the room a boy around 3 years old was accompanied by a maid. After sometime the boy heard the cry of a baby.
The baby girl was born to a pregnant woman and she passed out of exhaustion. The woman next to her took the crying baby in her arms, cleaned the baby and wrapped her in a towel after dressing her carefully. The baby still did not open her eyes but was crying. The boy who was outside knocked on the door and asked whether he could enter the room. The woman agreed to his request and then entered after hearing her agreeing. Then he saw his mother holding a crying baby. Then the lady kept the baby in the cradle as the imperial doctor called her to inform something.

The boy went towards the cradle and looked at the baby . The baby was wrapped in a light pink fluffy towel. The baby has got a small face, small cute nose. pink lips and chubby cheeks. Her face turned pink due to crying. The boy didn't see her eyes as the baby didn't open her eyes. Her long eyelashes are wet. The boy instantly liked the baby. He felt sad seeing her cry because he didn't like it. He didn't want to see her cry he wanted her to be happy but didn't know what to do. Then the boy gently rocked the cradle and sang the lullaby that his mother usually sings to put him to sleep. The baby hearing his voice opened her eyes. She slowly opened her eyes blinking them to adjust in accordance with the light. The boy saw that the baby got the most beautiful green eyes. Those emerald eyes looked into the boys grey eyes and stopped crying. The girl looked amused looking at the boy and blinked her eyes. The boy found her very cute and gently caressed her cheeks. He felt that her cheeks were very soft .The boy is Alexander and the new born baby was Lina. She was trying to move her hands so he adjusted the towel and let her hands out. They are small and soft. She looked fragile and soft. She then looked at his hands amused.Then Alisha came in after talking to the imperial doctor and was surprised to see that Lina stopped crying. Lina with her little hands held Alexander's fingers and giggled.

They soon heard hurried footsteps then Lucius entered the room. He went to his wife who passed out and he kissed her forehead caressing her hair.Lucius was also angry at the emperor for sending him to clear the mess that he has created. Because of an urgent problem he is help is needed so he has to leave his pregnant wife under Alisha's care. He would have never if it can be handled by anyone other than him.He looked at his wife he is with her all the time but he had to leave when his wife just entered the 9th month. When the imperial doctor predicted the date of delivery. She said it's either today or tomorrow. He sacrificed his sleep and worked harder so that he would be able to complete the work before the due date and accompany his wife but unfortunately he was late. After completing the work I came back in a hurry.

He heard giggles and turned in the direction to see his daughter who was holding Alexander's fingers and was giggling. Soon his worried expression changed to anger. Lucius always wanted to have a girl ,he felt that he would have a baby girl and he wanted to be the first person that his little angel will see after opening her eyes. He wanted to be the first person that she smiles at, he wants to be the first person to talk to her,he wanted to be the first person holds with her tiny hands but all his fancies were broken by Alex. He took all of Lucius precious memories which he wanted to build with his little one.

He was very angry 😡 at Alex for breaking his fancy. He went towards his babygirl gently made her let go of Alex's hand and took her in his arms. He then glared at Alex who looked confused on why he was at him.She looks just like him or more precisely like his mother. Yes, in looks Lucius took after his mother( Stella). He forgot his anger when his daughter looked at him with the same green eyes as his and gave him a smile. She looked so small and fragile that he was afraid that he would hurt her if he used a little bit of force.
