Chapter-9(The reunion)

Lina's POV

After that day I started visiting the palace more often. I grew attached to her and it breaks my heart knowing that she is going to die. I didn't even meet the crown prince after that day, I avoided him but it looks like he is also avoiding me. So I relaxed and went to meet her very often .I have to help her to meet her father.

There will be a meeting to discuss about the welfare of the Empire where all the officials must attend. The General Ezrif and his son Blair should also attend the meeting at the palace. It is the perfect opportunity so let's grab it.

On the day of meeting

I asked my dad to take to the palace as I wanted to visit the empress. He agreed and my mother also joined us. Soon, we reached the palace. Me and my mom made our way to the empress palace.
The empress smiled and took me in her lap when she saw me. Then started talking with my mother.

I was looking for the time to escape and meet General Ezrif. I am sure there will be a break in few min. So I told them I am going to the garden and went out to look for General Ezrif.

I started wandering around looking for him then suddenly I lost my way. I saw the garden near the corridor and started making my way towards it. At the turning I bumped into someone and stumbled.

'Who built a walk here'

"Are you okay????" Asked a deep voice.

I looked up only to see General Ezrif looking at me worried. I blinked my eyes looking at him he is a man in his late 40's but still looks like in his early 30's. He is good looking and he is well built. Then he knelt to my level to match my level.

"I am fine" I said in a sweet voice.

"Are you sure"

I just nodded.

"Are you the daughter of the Grand Duke Wilson??"

"Yes"

"What is your name??"

"My father told me not to talk to strangers " I said

'I am a very good daughter right'

"I am General Ezrif Hilton.Your father is a friend of mine."

"My name is Lina Wilson.Are you General Ezrif, I know you" I said acting as if I just recognised him.

' May be I should try as an actress. My acting skills super good'

"What are you doing here???" He asked

"I lost my way while going to the garden will you help me" I asked giving my best puppy eyes to him.

Then he suddenly took me in his arms. I was startled and held his shoulders tightly in my arms.

"I can walk I just want you to show me the way" I said.

"I don't think you can walk with those cute legs. I feel like they would break if you exert a little force to walk" he said.

"How can you say this. Even my dad said the same thing when he carried me. My legs are not weak" I said pouting.

The general found her very cute and she made him remember someone. The one who left him for a scumbag.

"You said you know me." He asked. I nodded. "How do you know me???" He asked again.

'good question. Now this good question deserves the best answer'

"Aunt Alisha told me about you. She talks a lot about you and your family". I said.
