Chapter 6- diner

Winters pov
I went back to the lair and got ready to go to the diner. I put on my outfit and some light makeup. Then I started heading for the door. "Where are you going?" Fireball stopped me. "I have to go to dinner with some kid. I'm investigating him." I lied. "Alright. But investigating better be all it is." She said suspiciously. "What else would it be? Bye!" Escaped again! I headed for the diner and got there five minutes early. I got a table and waited. And waited.

Henry's pov
After I stopped the train I was tired and my head hurt. A purple bruise was forming on my forehead where I hit it. I just want to go and do something fun after all this. Captain man and I went back to the man cave and changed back. "Hey henry want to come bowling with jasper and I and some other of our friends?" She asked. It sounded fun. And fun is exactly what I needed right now. "Sure! Let's go!" It was about 6:30 when we left. Why do I feel like I'm forgetting something? We bowled for a few hours then we got hungry. "Where do you guys want to go for dinner?" Charlotte asked. "That old fashioned diner down the street?" Jasper suggested. We all agreed and headed out. When we got there I walked in and saw winter sitting alone. When she saw me she looked upset. Oh no! I forgot we were supposed to hang out!

Winters pov
It's been an hour! Am I in the right place? Is this the right day and time? Did he ditch me again? Don't worry winter. He probably has a perfectly good reason for not being here! "Are you going to order?" A waitress asked me. "Yeah I'm just waiting for someone." I said. "Honey I've seen this before. He ditched you." She said. "He wouldn't do that!" I knew that was a lie. The door to the diner opened. "That's probably him now!" I said to re waitress who just shook her head and walked away. Sure enough it was henry. But he was with a bunch of his friends and they were laughing and talking. He blew me off again? He saw me and immediately stopped laughing. I gave him the 'I hate you' look and stormed past him outside. "Winter wait!" He called and ran after me. "You know if you didn't want to be my friend you could have just said so! You didn't have to make up excuses to get away from me!" I yelled. "No it's not like that!" He protested. "YOU BLEW ME OFF THREE TIMES! I waited in there for and hour looking like the idiot who got stood up while you where our having a blast with your real friends! If you were trying to send me a message trust me I got it! We don't have to be friends! I can't believe I was stupid enough to think that sow one would actually want to hang out with me!" I exploded. "I want to be your friend!" I cut him off again. "You know what just stay away from me!" I screamed and stormed off. This was the worst day ever. At least I get to see kid danger tonight.

Henry's pov
I can't believe I forgot to hang out with winter! I was just so busy with the train I forgot! Now she'll hate me forever! At least I'll get get to see Wintersmyth tonight. That night I snuck out of my house and became kid danger. I went to the park and found our frozen tree. At first I didn't see anyone. Had she decided not to come? Then I heard crying. I looked up and saw Wintersmyth in the ice tree above me. "Wintersmyth? I'm coming up!" I said and tried to climb the tree but the minute I grabbed a branch I slipped and fell. A staircase appeared in front of me made of snow. I climbed it up to where Wintersmyth was sitting. She was still crying when I sat next to her. I took her chin and kissed her. "Now what's wrong?" I asked soothingly. "I've just had the most unbelievably bad day ever! And it only seems to get worse!" She sobbed.

Winters pov
Kid danger gave me a comforting hug. "Why was it bad?" He asked. "Well I almost had to crash a train and I got ditched!" I said. "Well someone would have to be an idiot to ditch you." He said. Then the moon came out and I saw the bruise on his face. "Oh my god! I did that! Oh my god I'm so sorry!" I sobbed. I hurt him! How could I do that?! "It okay it doesn't hurt really!" He tried to tell me. "Here." I made my hand cold and put it on his forehead. It was like an ice pack which I think helped. "I just feel like everything that could have gone wrong today did." I said. "Tell me about it." He replied. Then a strange grin came over his face. "Because you had a bad day

You had a bad day." He sang bad day. I was laughing now. "Alright I'm a terrible singer." He laughed. "No no! Your a good singer!" I said still laughing. "Your lying!" He said smiling. "No I'm not!" I said back. He leaned in and our lips touched. When we pulled away I got serious. "I don't want to hurt people." I said frowning. "Then just come back to the man cave with me and tell captain man and tell us where the lair is and we can put fireball in jail and-" I cut him off. "No! I can't. I'm not ready. In time when I have everything figured out I'll tell you but for now you just have to trust me. We'll figure this out." I said. I couldn't turn my mother in. She may be evil and terrible but she's still my mother. "I trust you." He said and kissed me again. Soon I left and went back to the lair. At least I still have kid danger. But he seems so familiar.
