Winters pov
It was 8:00 when Henry came to get me. I had my casual date night outfit on. I figured that wearing a fancy dress to an amusement park was in itself, a terrible idea. And if we were going on rollercoasters then a skirt in the fast moving wind was once again, not the best idea. So shorts and a shirt it is! Henry came screaming down the elevator. When he saw me he stood there for a minute staring. I stared back. He was wearing black pants and a black and red flannel with a leather jacket over it. He had brushed his hair nearly to the side but the elevator fall messed it up. I walked right up to him then I fixed his hair. "Thanks." He said. "No problem." We were so close together I could see the little gold flecks in his eyes. He stared into my eyes and for a second I thought he recognized me. I looked away. "Should we go?" I asked and he nodded. We walked outside where his moms car was parked. We got inside and mrs. Hart looked back at me and smiled. "So your Henry's new girlfriend? I'm Siren Hart." She said reaching back to shake my hand. "I'm Angela." I said. "Henry's told me a lot about you. He's right though, your much prettier than Bianca." I blushed and Henry glared daggers at his mrs. Hart. "Mom! There are certain things that stay between us, and that was one of them!" She laughed and turned back being very pleased with herself about embarrassing her son in front of his date. We drove to six poles over Swellwiew chatting casually. His mom asked me questions about myself. I told her the fake story I told everyone else. Eventually we got there and I thanked Mrs. Hart for the ride then she drove away. We got our tickets and went in. "So what do you want to do first? Food, rides, or games?" He asked. "Let's do the rides before we eat junk food!" I said laughing. We went to a huge ride called Sasquatch white two towers. One called launch took you up to the top really fast and brought you down slower, and the one called drop did the exact opposite. We went on drop. It went all the way to the top where it stopped for a few seconds. Swellwiew was illuminated in all the lights. "It's beautiful." I said and Henry took my hand. Then the ride let go and we fell. We both screamed like we didn't get dropped like this in an elevator every day. When we got to the bottom I realized that Henry was still holding my hand and I felt all warm inside. I dragged him to ride after ride, where we screamed and laughed at the same time. One of the pictures the camera took on one of the rides we both intentionally made workers faces and looked absolutely ridiculous. After we went on the log ride and got absolutely soaked, we decided it was time for dinner. After all it was nearing 10:00. We went and bought pizza, then cotton candy, then ice cream. As we sat eating our ice cream and watching one of the rides go over and over I spoke. "I have a confession to make." He looked at me curiously. "When I was at the competition, and everyone was talking about how fearless and confident I looked, well I'm not as confident as I look." He smiled at me. "Oh really?" I nodded. "Yeah. Every time I got on that stage, every night when the crowds got bigger and bigger, I always questioned whether I was doing the right thing. Whether I was good enough, and if I wasn't, if I failed, then I would be letting everybody down. It's kinda been like that my whole life, I felt so pressured that if I wasn't the best I was the worst. I was a disappointment. So I've always tried to be the best. I still do. I always feel like I have to work hard and if I don't then I'm a disappointment. Maybe that's why I've never dated anyone before you. I just didn't feel like I could handle it." "Can I tell you something? I feel the same way about being kid danger. My parents expect me to do well in school and captain man expects me to be a great sidekick and take his place someday. And I often wonder if I'm good enough. I feel like if I'm not everything people expect from me then I'm letting everyone down. I already have let people down. If I had been a better boyfriend, maybe winter wouldn't have left me." He said that last part quieter, more to himself. I suddenly felt the worst feeling in my stomach. He's blaming himself for me breaking up with him. I'm causing him so much pain. "Hey your a great boyfriend. And if winter can't see that then she's an idiot! Your cute, sweet, funny, caring, your everything a girl should look for in a boy. And if she broke up with you, then it's probably not because of something you did. It's probably something that was going in with her and she just couldn't handle it. The point is, your a great guy who deserves the best." He smiled and looked at me. "I already have it." Then he leaned in and out lips collided. Sparks shot all the way to my fingertips when he kissed me. It was that magical feeling that I had been dying for since we broke up. When we separated I smiled. "Well tonight there's no one to disappoint! Tonight lets just have some fun!" I said and pulled him up and we headed to the arcade. We played air hockey and the spray game where you spray the target to fill up the thing at the top and whoever gets there first wins. I won. I had a blast just hanging out with him and playing games. It was 11:30 by the time we made it through the arcade. We just started walking around the park holding hands looking around at all the lights. "I will never stop loving this place!" Henry said. "Me neither. I wish I could live here!" I said making us laugh. Suddenly we heard screams. And not the kind that come from having fun. We spin around to look at the rollercoasters behind us. It was going around and around very fast. Too fast. And it wasn't stopping. It flew round and round gaining speed. "Henry you know how I'm filling in for winter? We'll miss the time for that!" We ran behind a building a blew our bubbles. Henry saw me in my costume and smiled. "What?" I asked. "Nothing. You just look really good in that costume!" I rolled my eyes. "Let's go!" I said and we ran. We went up the exit stairs and over to the operating system. The whole platform was shaking with the speed of the coaster. The operator was feeling out trying to press buttons to stop it. Then he saw us. "Kid danger! Wintersmyth!" He said excitedly. "What happened why won't it stop?!" I asked. "I think something shorted out when I spilled my soda on it!" I glared at him. "You spilled your soda on it?! Really?!" I said. "If it doesn't slow down it will fly off the tracks!" Henry said. "If winter was here she could use her new electricity power to drain the power from the ride." He said frustrated. At that moment I seriously questioned whether or not I should just use my powers. Blow my cover and save these people. But then I had another idea. "What if we can disconnect the lone connecting the grid to the coaster?" I said. "Yeah because cutting the wires with high voltage going through them would be a great idea!" I thought for a minute. "Not if we shut off the power!" I said. "We trend that it doesn't work! Kind of why it's broken!" He yelled. "Not the power to the ride the main power source to the park! Then you can cut the wires and I can turn the power back on and it won't start up again!" I said and Henry realized it was a good idea. "Okay then go!" He said and I ran off. I knew that coaster didn't have long so I needed to hurry. I ran around looking until I found the maintenance building. I tried the door but it was locked so I kicked it down. I searched through all the switches and buttons until I found the one that said MAIN POWER. I flipped the lever and everything went dark and everything shut off. I heard screams outside from the people left in the dark so I knew I had to be fast. I used my whiz ring to call Henry. He popped up. "I shit off the power did it stop?!" I asked. "It stopped alright! Now I can cut the wires." "Okay but be fast people on the ground are in the dark!" He nodded and disappeared for a minute. Then he pipe up again. "Done! Try the power now!" I flipped the lever again and everything turned back on. "We did it! The rollercoaster isn't moving!" Henry said excitedly. "Yes! I'm coming over to help get people off!" I shut off my ring and ran back to the rollercoaster and went with Henry up the stairs next to the track to help people down. When we brought the last person off everyone who had gathered around cheered and we waved then ran off and changed back. It was now midnight and time for the end fireworks show. We watched and talked and laughed until it was over and time to go home. Mrs. Hart was waiting for us in the parking lot. "So how was it?" She asked. "It was great! We had a lot of fun!" I said. "Did you guys see Wintersmyth and kid danger save the people on the rollercoaster?" We both smiled at each other. "We saw it alright." Henry said. We drove back and Henry walked me into junk and stuff. "So when can we go out again?" Henry asked. "Anytime we want I guess. I had a lot of fun." He smiled. "So did I. Goodnight Angela." I kissed him. "Goodnight Henry." Then I went down the elevator and to my room. I missed being his girlfriend so much! And I love being Angela! What if it was a fresh start though? What if I could start my life over? What if I could stay Angela forever?
