Chapter 25- Unexpected Return

Henry's pov
Ray and I broke down the door and ran out coughing and sputtering. We turned back and watched the storage building burn. My costume was scorched completely the point of being unrecognizably crispy. I pulled apart the front of my costume to see what the damage was to my protective vest. It too was barbecued. "See? I told you having a force field shield would be helpful! That thing could withstand a truck dropping on you!" I nodded. "Yeah thanks. I think we should get back to the man cave and clean up and get new costumes." I said we headed back. When we got down there Charlotte stared. "What happened to you guys?! Where's winter?" She asked nervously. "Winter happened. And she got away." I said. "What do you mean she got away?" She asked. "I MEAN SHE TRIED TO KILL US BEFORE TAKING OFF!" I snapped and immediately felt bad. She stepped back. "I'm sorry. I'm just really stressed out. I thought she needed saving but captain man was right. It was a trap the whole time. She was a trap." Charlotte looked down and we were all silent. Ray went to take a shower while I filled in Charlotte and schwaz. "I just can't believe she would turn her back on us like that. After everything she's been through. I know what I said was bad but I never thought it would turn her murderous." Charlotte nodded. "What are we going to do? How are we supposed to get through to her?" She asked. "We don't." Ray said from behind us. "What?" We all said at the same time. "You all know what happened. We tried reasoning with her and it didn't work. She's a danger to the city that no one could control. I hate to say it but we all know what has to be done. We have to stop her with fireball and dr. Maniac. For good." My brain couldn't even process what he just said. "WHAT?! ARE YOU CRAZY?! YOU WANT US TO KILL WINTER?! WE CANT! NOT UNTIL WE KNOW EVERYTHING!" I jumped up. "What else is there to know?! What do you want us to do?! Huh? Wait until she actually kills someone to see if she's really evil?! Play twenty questions with her to see what made her go dark side?!" He yelled. "No! I just think maybe we should figure out what's actually going on before we waste someone we all care about!" I argued. "Face it kid! She's a lost cause! She made her choice! There's nothing left to do now! We have a job to protect this city no matter the emotional effect it has on us! That's job and we do it!" I sighed. I knew he was right. We couldn't do anything for winter. We couldn't help her unless she wanted I be helped. "Vait! You say vinter had new powers and talked about things that vere false?" Schwaz said and I nodded. "Yeah she said we held her captive and that I tried to kill her. Like she doesn't remember what happened." I said recalling what she said. Charlotte got that look in her eyes which meant she was catching on to what schwaz was thinking. "Maybe because she doesn't remember!" Ray and I still didn't understand. "You said she turned evil at the same time she got her powers. Right?" Ray and I nodded. "I think so." Charlotte and schwaz smiled. "Then she's not evil!" Schwaz said happily. "Um how is trying to kill us not considered evil?" I asked confused. "Well dr. Maniac must have created something that would alter her DNA and make her stronger. So he must have mixed it with memory serum! It is used to wipe people's memories and if handled correctly you can target certain memories and replace them!" "That would explain why she thought we tried to kill her." Ray said. "And why she's evil! If you could only remember the bad memories of your life you would be just the same." I said to Ray. "Well then the only way to turn her good again is to make her remember. Is that possible?" I asked. "Charlotte and I can probably make counter serum to undo the effects of the memory serum. Give me, hour." Schwaz said confidently. "But taking away her powers is another story. She's probably stuck with those powers for the rest of her life." Charlotte said. "Fine! I just want her back!" I said. "We all do. But how are we supposed to contain her?" Ray asked. "I make serum like dr. Maniac to subdue her and her powers." Charlotte and Schwaz went to work on the serum while I took a shower and got a new costume on. This better work. I can't lose my best friend. Friend? Yes she's only your friend. You love her like a sister not like a girlfriend. I came back to the man cave to find Ray loading up with weapons. "Your not going to kill her right Ray?" He shook his head. "I can't. Not if there's still a chance we can save her. I will try anything." Winter was right about one thing. She's like a daughter to Ray. They have a special relationship none of us will ever have with him. "Then what's with the guns?" I asked. "There not guns. There tranquilizer guns. You will shoot a dart filled with my serum that will subdue her. Then you bring her back here." Schwaz said an handed me a few guns. "But be quick! The power tranquilizer only lasts one hour and she will wake up after half an hour." He said. We nodded. Then Charlotte ran in. "I think I know where she is!" Charlotte said. "Bianca's parents called and said they heard a scream from her room and when they ran up there she was gone and the window was broken and they saw someone running away with Bianca headed towards the Swellview bridge." My jaw dropped. "Someone took Bianca! But how do we know it was winter?" "Because her parents said that it was really cold in the room and the lights had exploded." That was winter. "Oh my god she's going to throw Bianca off the bridge!!" I realized. Ray and I ran to the tubes. "Don't worry. Well bring her back." Ray said I everyone but was probably mostly erasure in himself. Then we left.

Winters pov earlier
After I killed captain man and kid danger my mind went to my to do list. Let's see, what's first? Or should I say, who's first? Oh I know! That whore Bianca! But should I do with her? What's fast dirty and fun? Oh I know! She lives right by the Swellview bridge! Perfect. I headed towards her house. I got there but not before I froze Swellviews water source and used my telekinesis to push people in front of traffic. I walked into a store and right over to the ATM. I focused hard until the ATM split in have revealing the piles of cash. "Hey what are you doing?!" The store clerk screamed. One look and he flew through three store shelves. Everyone stood frozen in terror. "Anyone else want to try to stop me? How about you! Your face just makes me sick." I said to one little girl. She barley got out a squeak before she was frozen. I did a hard back kick and she was pieces on the floor. Everyone screamed. I took the cash. Not that I needed this. "Spread the word! Wintersmyth is back! And it feels good to be bad!" I smiled and the doors opened and I walked out. I just threw the money into the river. I got to Bianca's house and went around the back. I saw her window and knew it was hers because I could hear her sickly sweet singing to 5sos song. I gagged. I climbed in undetected because she was too busy brushing her hair in the mirror. I walked into view in the mirror. "Oh would you stop that obnoxious screeching you call singing!" She screamed and spun around. But in a second she was frozen and I grabbed her and was out the window. I headed for the bridge. After I take of her what's next on my list? Oh right! Veronica, then Charlotte, then Jasper, then Henry's family, then for even more fun ill bomb the middle school in the middle of the day! This is going to be fun! I got to the bridge and hung Bianca over. Then I unfroze her. I wanted her to be terrified before she met her end. It took her a minute before she realizes what was happening. "Help! Help!" I laughed. "Oh please! No one can help you! And it sickens me how you just assume down one will save you! But you make it so easy!" I got close to her face. "You have no idea how much I'm going to enjoy killing you!" I let go with one hand. She started screaming. "Winter stop!" I spun around angrily. "I thought I killed you! It doesn't matter! This time I'm going to make sure you stay dead!" I dropped Bianca but she caught something and was dangling and screaming. "Ugh! Stop screaming your next!" I yelled and then I shot lightning at captain man and kid dumpster. They dodged it and kid danger shot something at me. Before I could dodge a dart hit me in the thigh. I laughed and pulled it out. "A dart? Really? What am I a nerf target?" Kid danger laughed. "That's not just any dart! That's a super powerful tranquilizer dart! It could drop an elephant! Night night!" I panicked as things started to spin. "No! NO! THIS ISNT OVER! It's... Not." I said before collapsing to the ground.

Henry's pov
I ran over and pulled Bianca up. "You okay?" I asked. "Yeah. I think so. Thank you for saving me." I nodded. "My pleasure. Look I can't explain why she came after you but the most important thing to remember is that this isn't her fault." She raised her eyebrows. "She tried to kill me! How is that not her fault!" "Her mind is being controlled. She would never try to hurt someone by choice." Bianca nodded. "Okay I trust you kid danger. Thanks for saving me. Now save her." I nodded. "I'm gonna try." Ray tied her up and we brought we back to the man cave and out her on a chair and made sure she was tied tight. She started to wake up. She realized where she was and at first she looked scared, then angry. "LET ME GO! I WILL EACAPE AND RIP ALL OF YOUR ORGANS OUT AND STUFF THEM LIKE SAUSAGES!" She screamed and fought. "Is that serum ready yet Schwaz?" Ray asked. "Almost." He said. "Hurry! We only have half an hour!" I said. "Let me go! Let me go!" I felt bad seeing her like this. "Winter I'm sorry. We're trying to help you." She scoffed. "I don't need your help! Especially not from someone who tried to kill me!" She yelled. She almost seemed ravenous. Like a wild animal with rage building up inside. She fought harder. "Look. You were drugged and now you don't remember what your life was really like. But you will soon. I promise you'll be safe. "Okay it is done." Schwaz said holding a syringe filled with liquid. He came over to winter. "NO! STAY AWAY FROM ME! LET ME GO! DONT BRAINWASH ME!!" He injected the liquid into her neck. She went still and unconscious. It was the first time she looked peaceful in a long time. "Now what?" I asked. "Now we wait. And see if it worked." Ray said. We waited for about an hour before she stirred.
