Chapter 10- im sorry mom!

Winters pov
I walked back to the lair. I knew that I would be seeing my mom for the last time. I got down there. My mom was there at the monitor. I walked over and hugged her. "What was that for?" She asked. "Thank you. For always being there." I said. She looked at me. "Your welcome? What's up with you?" She asked. "Nothing. What are you doing?" I changed the subject. "I was going through the pictures you took yesterday because you forgot it here this morning." She said. I got nervous again. "Oh yeah. I forgot." The computer started scanning. I deleted Henry's picture off the monitor but I couldn't off the flash drive. Soon it beeped and Henry's picture came up with match. "Finally! Wintersmyth who is this?" She asked excitedly. "Um I'm not sure. I think his name is henry or something." I lied. "Well you have to find out more about him!" Trust me you have no idea just how much I know. "Yeah I will." I said although i knew that wouldn't happen. "The sooner you do the sooner we can grab him and we can pull you out of that school!" She said. "It's not so bad." I said quietly but she heard. "Wintersmyth come sit down." I say in the couch. "I think your starting to get too close to some of these normal people. But I never wanted you to see them because I was trying to protect you. I want you to know how I went evil." She's telling me now?! I already turned her in! "When I was young I always hid my powers an lived a double life. But as soon as your father found out who I was and that I was pregnant with you he left. I loved him and he just threw that away because I was different! Soon I realized that all people were like that and there was nothing worth saving. And I want you to see that too. Because getting close to them is only going to hurt you. We're not evil. People are." She finished. "But they seemed pretty nice." I said. "They seem that way until they abandon you because they're afraid of you. I don't say this enough but I really do love you. Your my daughter. I know you would never betray me." I already did. And I realized that I loved her too. I have to stop this! "Mom I've made a huge mistake! You have to get out of here! I'm so sorry!" I tried to say. "Wintersmyth what is it?! What did you do?!" She asked worried. Just then the slide came down and captain and and kid danger came down followed by lots of police. "You betrayed me!" She screamed. "She did what was right!" Captain man said. "You just wait! They'll turn on you! The minute you don't do what they want they'll reject you! Just wait!" She said with hurt in her eyes. "Enough chat grab her!" Captain man shouted and all the police went for her. She started fighting and gore was everywhere. "I'm sorry mom! I'm sorry!" I screamed and tried to run for her but kid danger held me back. "Get her out k here!" Captain man said to kid danger. Fireball continued to fight. Kid danger held me from behind and pulled towards the slides. I couldn't stop screaming, "I'm sorry mom! In sorry!" We went up the slides and ran back to the man cave. I couldn't stop crying. We went down the tubes and I crashed onto the couch and just cried. Henry never left my side. He didn't say anything. There was nothing to say. But he was there. A while later captain man came down. He tried to whisper to henry and Charlotte so I wouldn't hear but I did. "We got fireball. They'll be putting her away for a long time." I would never see her again. Then they all left for a while. I started watching tv on the monitor. Henry came in and handed me a hot chocolate. "Where did you get this?" I asked. "The snack'o'matic. You just say what you want and it makes it for you." He said. "Cool." I sipped it. "So how are you feeling?" He asked. "I just helped put my own mother in jail. How do you think I feel?" I said. "Okay stupid question. What I meant was how are you holding up?" He said putting on that goofy smile. "I don't know. At first I felt awful. Like a traitor. But I guess she was never a real mother to me. That's why it doesn't hurt so much. I know what I did what was right. Now I'm more worried about what's to come." I said. He held up my chin. "You'll be fine." He said reassuringly. "I hope so. But what if I really am evil? What if there's no way back?" I said. "Your not evil. You can't give up on yourself before you've even tried." I nodded. He stayed with me until I fell asleep on the couch.

Henry's pov
I stayed with winter for a lot of the night. I can't imagine how she must feel. Everything in her life is about to change. But I believe in her. She's not evils and she could be a great hero. I held her until she fell asleep on the couch. Then I got a blanket and put it over her and went home.
