Chapter 13- new room

Winters pov
It's been a few days. I've sorted through my thoughts and I talked to henry. Things are starting to balance out. This morning when I woke up I hated myself considerably less. Henry came down the elevator before school to walk me. "You know I don't need a chauffeur everywhere I go right?" He smiled. "No you don't but you want me to! How are you feeling today?" I laughed. "Well your early. And I feel pretty good. I don't feel the urge to throw myself off a cliff anymore so that's progress I guess!" He laughed a little. I put some things in my bag. "Why are you early?" I asked curiously. He turned a little red. "No reason! Nothing!" He panicked. "Your a terrible liar." I said and smirked. The sprocket opened and Ray walked in. "Waz up!" I put on a strange accent which made everyone laugh. "Henry you didn't tell her right?" Ray looked at Henry. "No. But you better hurry up! I can't keep this forever!" He said which made me more confused. Then Charlotte came down and waved at me. "So does she know yet?" Both Ray and henry said no. "Okay what is going on and what are you guys not telling me and I am skilled in interrogations so you better spit it out!" I looked at all of them. Ray shrugged. "Well since your going to be here for a while and I kind of want my couch back we got you your own room." Henry glared at him. "Alright and because I wanted to be nice and make you feel at home!" He admitted. "Guys you didn't have to do that." I objected. "Yeah we did! And wait till you see it!" Charlotte said. Henry took my hand and we all went through the sprocket, down the hall, then Ray unlocked a door. It was pitch black when I walked in and I couldn't see a thing. "So what exactly was the point of coming in here?" I asked. "This is your new room! It's just something small." Henry said. Ray clapped his hands twice and the lights turned on. "If this is your definition of small I'm really curious to know what going big would look like! This is awesome!" The bug picture on the wall had a tint of purple because that's my favorite color. And the reddish orange and blue was because of the colors in re logo. "Now I can have my couch back!" Ray said. I walked up to him. "Thank you." I said honestly. "Yeah yeah don't make it weird." He said rolling his eyes. He hates to admit that he did something nice for me. Charlotte and Ray left me and henry in the room. I had my own bathroom too with the same kind of design. I flopped over on my new bed. "This is so cool!" I said excitedly. Henry sat down next to me. "What having your own room?" "No. Living in a place where I'm close to you." I said sitting up. "Awe." He said and leaned in. Our lips met and we pulled away. "Well this day has had a pretty good start. I just wish I didn't have to go to school!" I said. "Didn't Ray promise to train you to be a hero? I never saw that training!" He said and I smirked. "And *cough* I'm feeling so sick!" He faked and I laughed. We got up and went to ask Ray if he could train me today. "Ray! We had an idea! Since winter has to train to control her powers and I feel *cough* so sick, can we stay here the day and train?" Henry asked. "I don't know-" "oh come on! I feel so sick too." Charlotte said fake coughing. We all nodded and started fake coughing. "Alright alright! We can train today!" Ray said and everyone cheered. We started off testing the intensity of my powers. Which was pretty intense. I could freeze all of Swellview forever if I wanted to. And apparently my powers will get stronger as I get older. Then we tested my reflexes, in which henry shot a laser gun at me and I dodged them. Henry had to train too so I had to shoot at him. The first few he dodged but then I hit him square in the chest and he hit the floor. "Henry! Are you okay?!" I asked worried. "You made it look so easy!" He croaked and I laughed and helped him up. "You know your actually supposed to dodge the lasers don't you?" That made everyone me laugh. Then we worked on hand to hand combat, which again I kicked Henry's butt every time! We trained and had fun all day. But it was kind of scary to think that one day we would need all of this training to save the world. Later we ordered Chinese for dinner. "I have to say winter your going to be one kick butt superhero!" Ray said with a spring roll shoved into his mouth. "Yeah well first I better learn how to control my powers! I could mean to freeze one person and freeze the whole block! I accidentally froze my science class already!" Everyone gasped. "Did they know it?" Charlotte asked. "No they didn't remember a thing once I unfroze them so I just used it to my advantage to get an A." Everyone laughed. "I know you'll learn how to control them." Henry put his arm around me and everyone awed. Then the monitor beeped. We all jumped up and ran over. "What is it Gooch?" Ray asked. "That gang took another hostage! There still demanding payment from the city." Gooch said. "Do we know where they are?" Henry asked. "No! They have the people at a secret location. All we know is that they like to take people who are alone in the alleyways." The screen went off. "I can't believe they got another person!" Henry said frustrated. "You guys heard him. I don't want any of you going alone anywhere. We need al hands on deck here." Ray said and we all nodded. This was a pretty good day. But that gang kept coming back to my mind. We don't know where they are, but if we had someone in the inside with a tracker, someone say, with powers for defense, we could take them out all together! The wheels kept turning in my mind.

A/N hey guys! Sorry I haven't updated in so long! But I've been sick all week with a cold which aggravates my asthma so I've been coughing non stop all week! And Friday was the worst day of my life! Funny how it was only a half day and still managed to be the longest day of my life! Since I'd been coughing I hadn't slept in two days so maybe that's why I reacted so badly to all of this. That day my class was going to the beach to swim. I had been really excited all week because it would be fun with my friends. But everything went wrong that day. It started with the fact that I couldn't really swim for that long because it would make me cough. Then before we left the school my flip flop broke and that was the only shoes I had that day! Then it was fine for a while and we had fun, but then while me and my friends where by the water, we saw a bunch of boys by our table where we had put all of our stuff. So we went up to make sure they weren't touching our stuff. I had put my clothes on the bench because i was sitting in the grass earlier and they were wet so I wore my swimsuit and laid my clothes out to dry. Then this little jerk Cooper started dropping my clothes on the ground and sitting there. So I was like "Cooper can you not move my stuff I'm trying o dry it." So he just starts saying. "Why don't you fuck off!" And of course all the annoying boys just thought that this was fun to watch. So Cooper starts throwing me and my friends stuff on the ground! So one of my friends shook up her seltzer water and dumped it on him. Which I was glad about. But we had food and stuff out on the table and he threw all the food on the ground like a whole bag of goldfish and made a huge mess! Then he stole my clothes, went down and threw them in the water! So then I had to chase him to get my clothes and it gave me an asthma attack! So not only where my clothes soaked but I had to take my inhaler and was coughing like crazy! And make things worse these other girls who I thought were my friends are now officially not. My real friends where sitting with me at the table and when one of them saw my other friends she went and told them what happened. Then she came back upset and told me that they thought it was my fault I had an attack! And I'm just like "Oh yeah sure it's my fault Cooper stole my clothes and I had to chase after him to keep him from throwing them in the water which he did anyways!" And on top of all this I discovered this morning that my sister was freaking cutting herself! I was the only one who knew so I was scared to say anything right then. So after a while I just completely lost it and started crying uncontrollably. And I could not let people see me cry because I hate for people to think I'm weak. And the teachers did nothing to Cooper of course! And my real friends where trying to make me feel better and keep people from seeing me. And my math teacher came over who is the sweetest person on the planet and asked if I was okay. I tried to tell her I was fine but clearly I wasn't. So I tried to tell her the real reason about why I was crying about my sister but I couldn't say it so I just started pointing at my arm. My friends already knew so they told her and now my teacher is going to tell the guidance counselor who's going to talk to my sister. All this happened in half a day! So yeah worst day of my life. I guess in times like this you see who your real friends are. I saw that and I am so glad that I have true friends. So I'll try to update soon but I have to sort through some stuff. Love ya'll!😘💜
