Rook's POV:

What started out as part of a birthday present for Devyn ended up in a routine happening every time we stayed at a hotel, until eventually it was taken out of the hotel. I may have initiated it, by caressing her thigh every time we sat on the tour bus couch together, or by brushing my crotch against her ass every time we squeezed past each other in the corridor of the bunks. Soon enough, we ended up cramped in my bunk, trying to work out the logistics in such a small space. But we made it work. Multiple times.

And things only seemed to get crazier since then. After Devyn's birthday, she'd learned how to let loose with us, and began to join us on our rendezvous more, walking through the streets late at night with us and getting high after a show in the parking lot. She'd join in with the parties on the tour bus, and sometimes even encouraged them as she grew closer to the rest of the band, easily slotting in with us. It was a different side of her, and I was glad to see that the old her was back better than ever.

We'd decided to go on a boat trip for Jay's birthday on our day off, taking all the weed and alcohol we needed to make sure we had the best time. We all changed into our swimming trunks, along with shirts or vests, and Kells brought along his blue blazer. "Alright, let's go!" Ash called from the front of the bus, receiving a yell of excitement from Kells and Mod as they ran off the bus. I laughed with a shake of my head and helped grab the bags, then followed Slim and Devyn off the bus and over to the dock.

The boat took us out onto the water, and we had music blasting the whole time. There were good vibes all round. "Happy birthday, Jay!" I heard Devyn sweetly smile at our friend as she sat on the couch opposite him.
"Why, thank you." He lightly chuckled and offered her her first drink of the day. Yes, we were day-drinking. Nothing new there.
"How's it feel being older?" She asked with a cheeky look in her eyes, making Jay laugh loudly as he replied.

Devyn seemed to sense me watching her from where I was sitting on the artificial grass at the back of the boat, sitting under the beating sun. She sent me a soft smile, which I returned, before turning back to look at Jay as he spoke to her. She seemed completely comfortable - something I never imagined her being when she first moved in with us. When she first moved in, I honestly thought she'd never turn around and find her home with us. Yet she proved me wrong again. And I found myself loving that.

The music played loudly as we all lounged around under the sun, laughing and joking together throughout the day whilst sharing blunts and beers. It was probably the best way to spend a day off, and I was grateful for the second family that I was surrounded by. "Blue blazer on these motherfuckers." Kells sang as he began to dance on the grass, making us all laugh as we nodded along to the beat playing out of the speaker. "Point a laser at this motherfucker." Mod's laugh was distinctive as he encouraged our closest friend, dancing along as Kells' moves grew wilder. There was no stopping him now, especially not with the camera capturing the best moments for Kellyvision.

Devyn and I were sitting on the couch at the back, Devyn lounging with her legs up and her back against my side. "Pizza?" I offered her a slice from my plate, making her eyes light up as she took a pepperoni slice from me with a chuckle.
"Thank you." She sing-songed as she turned to look up at me, then turned back to stare out at the glistening water whilst eating the pizza from my plate. But AJ made sure to keep my plate full enough for the two of us.

"D'ya think there's friggin' sharks out there?" Mod squealed as he hyped himself up to jump into the water, wearing his white trunks with his vast collection of tattoos on show.
"Dude, there's sharks like a motherfucker out here." Kells shook his head with a laugh as he shifted his weight from one foot to the other, his bright yellow trunks being pretty eye-catching. "Fuck that."
"Man, just jump in before I push you." I laughed as I walked over carrying a red solo cup filled with alcohol. Devyn wasn't far behind me, wanting to watch them all jump in.
"I hope they eat you." She deadpanned, making us all laugh as Mod and Kells continued to hype themselves up to jump in.
