"Bye have a safe drive it was so good to see you, miss you already."
"Awww love you see you soon bye girl."
Lana has gone and Jace hasn't come home yet i make myself a coffee and sit outside in the sun reading my book. I hear a door shut so i go inside i see Jace he looks down towards me i notice he looks tired like he hasn't slept he had deep dark circles under his eyes .
I remembered what happened last night I debate if I should ask him because he looks drained but I think I should because that's a scary thing to happen when your home alone with your best friend.
"Hi are you okay, i have to ask you something last night this guy came and pounded on the door he shouted in my face and asked where you are ?"
His head snapped towards me with a confused worried look
"What, what did he look like and he shouted at you? Are you okay? Did he scare you ?."
"No he didn't scare me I shouted back at him and he left I can stand up for myself, he was tall about 6 foot kinda chubby blonde hair green eyes I think i couldn't really see them and and he had a snake tattoo going around his wrist and down his hand."
"Oh fuck that's Mattel he wants something from me from me but I wouldn't give it to him because his offer was bullshit, and you shouted back at him huh I would not have expected you to. most people are scared of him, but at least he didn't do anything."
" oh what does he want from you and what do you do for work i don't actually know and it's suspicious you come home late with cuts and bruises some guy wants something from you but his "offer" was "bullshit" you like a drug dealer or something?."
He chuckled to himself
"No love I'm not a drug dealer and don't you worry what I do for work it doesn't matter, but I'm glad he didn't hurt you because if you didn't stand up for yourself he probably would've he's just that type of guy basically a fucking dick."
"Yeah I'm fine I stood up for myself I have a tough side you know I'm not just a pretty face ."
"Well that's good to know isn't it"
he smirked
"Yeah I'm going out to the bookstore and to get coffee I will be home later ."
He nods his head and goes to his room i get my keys and put on my trainers and get in the car.
I put the radio on and think about Jace how sometimes he's cold and distant and ignores me and other times he seems like he cares and will watch a movie with me but i don't know it's weird.
I arrive at the bookstore and go inside i browse the books and see which one I want i walk up and down the book isles after about 30 minutes i pick out a romance book. I decided to get coffee i head to a cute little cafe and order a latte and a chocolate croissant i sit down and start my book.
I look up and notice someone staring at me, this man looks about 6'2 dirty blonde hair brown eyes he has on jeans a white T-shirt and a silver chain round his neck. He's not the worst looking person in the world don't get me wrong he's pretty hot but not compared to Jace
He walks over to me
"Can I help you."
I ask he looks shocked
"Oh hi I'm Sam I'm i just thought you were really beautiful and wondered if I could get your number."
"Sorry I snapped I'm not used to guys staring at me, but um sure I guess you can have my number ."
"Thanks I will give you a message later "
I smiled and he walked if I went back to reading my book happy that a guy wanted my number sure at collage I hooked up with guys but I never go on dates or anything it's normally just a casual hook up thing so I was kinda excited.
I finished my coffee and a few chapters of my book and made my way home i walked in the door as Jace was about to leave.
"Oh sorry."
I said nearly bumping into him
"It's alright just heading out, how was the cafe."
"It was good a guy asked for my number ." I said proudly and giggled to myself
His eyes turned furious like he was mad that a guy asked for my number I was confused, he didn't say anything he just left didn't even look at me and slammed the door on his way out
Well that weird i thought to myself. .
