Family Isn't Always Nice

It's the next morning and we've been notified that he'd been charged.
I feel so happy and JJ and I laugh for the first time in forever.
There's a harsh knock at the door.
I get up and I open the door while laughing
There she is
My mother.
She slaps me hard and I stare in shock
I try to close the door but she puts her foot in between.
"YOU LITTLE BITCH!"
She barges her way in after I try to shut the door on her
JJ grabs my arm and she stands in front of me
"Leave our property now Elizabeth! You have absolutely no right to be here!"
"You got him arrested! You fucking bitch!"
"GET OUT!"
I sob as JJ puts a hand on my bump to protect them.
"OH LOOK AT EMILY PLAYING THE FUCKING VICTIM WHEN REALLY I AM! YOU LEFT AND CALLED ME A DEAD BEAT MOM! I TRIED TO LOVE YOU BUT YOU WERE JUST TOO MUCH!"
"GET- GET OUT!"
"PEDRO WAS LIKE A FATHER TO YOU! HE LOVED YOU LIKE HIS OWN!"
"HE WAS RAPING ME FOR YEARS AND YOU KNEW ABOUT IT! IS THAT LOVE?"
"YES"
I go to attack her but JJ stops me
"Think about the babies honey"
"WHY ARE YOU EVEN WITH MY DAUGHTER! MY DAUGHTER DOESN'T DSTE GIRLS!"
"I DATE HER BECAUSE I LOVE HER AND I MARRIED HER BITCH!"
I get a slap at her and she slaps me back.
"YOU FUCK HER?! YOU FUCK WOMEN?!"
"I DO MOTHER AND I FUCKING LOVE IT!"
"YOU FUCKING UGLY BITCH!"
She punches me and she leaves.
I'm laying on the floor in shock as JJ calls it in.
"Arrest her for assault!"
JJ tells the team.
"NO NO I HIT HER TOO!"
"Baby she's punched you and your nose is bleeding"
I look down to see the blood transferring onto my sweater
She helps me to sit up and she leans my head forward.
The nose bleed stops and suddenly I hear a gunshot.
I flinch and I start to sob.
JJ rocks me as she holds my head.
Blake appears in the doorway
She slowly makes her way over to us with a pale and ash face.
"Em- I need you to take some deep breaths. How's the nose?"
"It- it's fine? What happened?! Who got shot?"
"You're mother did."
I stare blankly
"Suicide by cop. She held a gun up to us- said I'm sorry and she fired. We had to shoot her!"
"Oh okay"
I respond plainly since I've gone into shock
"Let's get you to a hospital honey"
Blake and JJ help to bring me to a stance.
"I- I can't!! Can't believe it"
"It's alright baby, you're in shock"
"Let's get her treated for it"
Blake comments as she helps me into the back of the car
I shiver so much that they put a blanket around me.
"She's dead? Is she really dead?"
"She's dead. She can't hurt you anymore"
JJ rubs my back as I vomit.
"I'm so sorry! I'm sorry!"
I cry to Hotch as he tells me that it's okay.
"NO IT'S NOT OKAY! I PROMISE I'LL CLEAN IT UP!"
"Em it's alright...you need to get seen by a doctor. Don't worry, I'll clean it up"
"I'm completely fine, I just need out of this car!"
"We're nearly at the hospital now"
I vomit again which makes me sob more.
I continue vomiting until I get everything out of my stomach.
I wipe my mouth and I put my head back exhausted from the retching.
We get out of the car and the doctors have a stretcher.
"I- I don't need the stretcher!"
"It's just a safety precaution."
The doctors reassures me.
They all lift me into it and JJ holds my hands.
Blake follows us
"Make sure she's alright, okay?"
"I will. Thanks for the ride"
"No problem"
They leave and I get wheeled into a room.
The doctors check my heart rate as I sob.
"A little elevated. I want you to take some deep breaths for me"
The doctor tells me as she leans me back.
I work in my breathing whilst squeezing JJ's hand.
"That's it baby"
They watch as my heart rate becomes normal.
I get a hospital down delivered to my room.
"I- I can't stand up"
"Don't worry honey. I'll help you"
She takes my hand and she helps me to swing my legs over the side
"Easy honey"
She tells me as I stand.
She removes my vomit stained clothes and she pulls the hospital gown on me.
It fits perfectly on my bump so I place a hand on it as I get straight back into the bed.
I stare at the door opening and closing it in my mind but it remains closed.
JJ notices that I'm staring at it.
I turn to my side and I fall asleep soon after crying my eyes out.
