Jennie watched Jisoo come into work with a smile on her face, saying hi to everyone and wearing her dark hair in a ponytail while her pantsuits got better everyday. She looked so happy.Jennie was pissed off.
She had been so busy that she couldn't put Phase 2 of her plan into action.
But a new week comes with new ways to make Jisoo weak. She chuckled before she heard a knock on the door.
She cleared her throat. "Come in!" She pretended to be engrossed in work when Jisoo dropped off a packet of papers with holes punched into it for placing into binders.
Jisoo started to leave when Jennie called her out. "Jisoo?"
Jisoo turned around with a small smile. "Yes...Ms.Kim."
Jennie smiled sweetly as she came around her desk and took the file in hand. "Did you do this right?" She leaned back against her desk and flipped through it while glancing up at Jisoo every few moments.
"Uhhh....I just followed what Rosé—"
"Ms.Park?"
Jisoo felt dread come over her. "Yes...I followed what Ms.Park told me to do."
Jennie nodded absentmindedly. "I don't think you followed this right because...these holes aren't punched 5.5cm apart."
Jisoo blinked. "Excuse me?"
Jennie sighed and gave a small smile. "Here, take this back." She placed it in Jisoo's hands. "Bring back another copy with a 5.5cm gap between each punched hole." Then she turned around and sat at her desk.
..........
Jisoo stared at Jennie in shock. What the fuck?!
Jisoo was sitting at her desk with the file she had tried to give Jennie. She tightened her jaw and looked at the door separating them. She felt like throwing it at the door and maybe ripping it to shreds.
Instead, she took a deep breath. She was determined to be in a good mood. Nothing had happened for a few days after she resolved to stay and she took that as a sign. She had also been attending church and praying for lots of luck.
She went back to print another copy and came back to her desk. It was only 4 pages so she wasn't wasting a lot of paper. She held the hole puncher in her hand and stared at the papers in front of her. She thought it was going to be easy to fix the holes but she realized she didn't have a tape measure.
She brought out her phone a looked up a cm scale as she put it next to the paper and drew a line to exactly where it should be. She punched the holes in and smiled happily to herself. There! Let's do this! How would she check anyways?
She walked back and handed it to Jennie with a proud smile. The brunette looked at her with a bored expression. She nodded and placed it in front of her. She turned in her seat and opened a drawer. And slowly....a long tape measure came out.
Jisoo's jaw dropped. Is she serious right now?!
Jennie measured the space between each hole. She made a disappointed "tsk, tsk" before looking up at Jisoo with a calm expression. "This is only 5cm apart. You were 0.5cm off." She gave a deep sigh...as if a great burden was placed on her shoulders by Jisoo's mistake. She got up and pulled out papers from her recycling bin.
She handed them to Jisoo and said, "Here practice on these and show hand them to me when you're done."
Jisoo looked at Jennie then at the stack of at least 50 pages in front of her before looking back at Jennie again.
I'm dead.
Jennie gave her sweet smile, which Jisoo was starting to hate because it just meant more trouble for her. Jisoo smiled back in order to cover up her emotions.
"Tell me if you need more! I have another recycling bin in the corner!" She pointed behind her and Jisoo looked to see an over flowing green bin.
The raven smiled. "I sure will...Ms.Kim." She bowed and left her office.
Jisoo threw the pages on her desk and calmly took the elevator downstairs. She smiled at Rosé on her way out along with some other employees. Then she sighed and walked outside.
She screamed....with a bit of cursing tossed in there.
..........
She handed in her practice pages at 5pm. Her hands hurt. Her neck hurt and she had a receipt on her desk from going to the nearest stationary store to buy a tape measure.
There were 64 pages. She had to punch holes in 64 pages. 64 pages that Jennie instructed, specifically, to be done one at a time.
At the end of the day, she never hated paper more.
When she walked in, she found Jennie asleep with her head turned to the side. Her entire body was at an awkward angle. The brunette had closed the blinds and the only light illuminating the place was her computer screen.
Jisoo sighed and rubbed her eyes. She dropped the practice pages on Jennie's desk and wrote her a note saying she was going home.
She was going to leave but she sighed and went over to Jennie. She felt the need to fix Jennie's posture.
She uncrossed Jennie's arms and laid them on the chair's hands. The raven took off Jennie's dress shoes and placed them carefully next to the desk.
She gently lifted Jennie's head and smoothed her hair down before turning her head forward. She made Jennie's legs straight and pulled away a bit. Her face was only a few inches away from the brunette's.
When Jennie wasn't being sarcastic, cold or scheming another way to make Jisoo's life hard, she was pretty.
So pretty, in fact, that Jisoo wanted to trace the lines of her smooth face. From the top of her forehead down her nose to touch her soft lips and place a small kiss on her chin.
Jisoo pulled away quickly. No! She hadn't just been fantasizing about her boss! Damn it she was fantasizing about someone's fiancé! Jennie was going to be married!
Jisoo raked a hand through her dark hair.
This isn't good.
That was the last thing she thought before she ran away.
