It was officially Jennie's week off.
She had been looking forward to it forever. The CEO had been forced to take a week off by her father after he managed to find out about her panic attack.
Irene's wedding was on Saturday but he insisted that Jennie take the whole week off and come back on the following Monday.
Jennie sighed and slowly dragged herself out of bed at 7:30. She quickly made work of brushing her teeth and picking out clothes to pack.
She would be staying in Irene's large house and helping her prepare for the wedding. As much as she hated Irene for hooking up with Jisoo, she had to admit that they had been close once so it would be...nice....to reconnect.
Rosé told her that she would not be coming on a week long trip but would be there for the wedding with Lisa and Eun-Sook.
Once she packed everything, she stepped out of her apartment to see Jisoo also stepping out...with a packed bag...again.
Jennie rolled her eyes and walked past her when Jisoo shouted, "Wait! Jennie! I'm coming with you!"
Jennie spun around to face her, her eyes bulging out of her head. "What?!"
Jisoo smirked. "Yeah....you dad said he didn't want you to go alone and when he found out Rosé wasn't going, he told me to accompany you."
Jennie wanted to throw something or shake Jisoo awake that she didn't want to be around her. Instead she promptly turned around and went to the elevator. Jisoo followed closely behind her and she could almost feel the heat radiating off her body. She took a deep breath and walked into the elevator with her suitcase and Jisoo started to step in but Jennie rapidly pressed the button for the elevator doors to close. Jisoo raised an eyebrow and the doors shut in front of her.
The brunette leaned against the wall with a breath of relief. She watched the arrow point down 10 floors and Jennie fiddled with her heads while trying to not let her mind stray to Jisoo.
After a few minutes, the doors dinged open and Jennie walked out to see her driver. He took her suitcase and put it in the trunk and she got in. "Drive, please."
The driver looked behind to her and said, "You father said we have to wait for one more person."
As if she was conjured, Jisoo opened the door and slid in next to Jennie with her leg briefly hitting hers. A spark of arousal went through her and she huffed out a breath of frustration. Will I EVER get over her?
She looked at Jisoo scrolling through her phone and sighed. Even though she was getting married in less than a month and had a hurtful rejection from Jisoo, she still had silly feelings. A mistake on her part considering Jisoo only wanted to be friends. Or seemed to be.
She swore that at the interview the day before, Jisoo had looked at her with a mix of longing and lust. And those weren't friendly feelings. Jennie blew out another frustrated sigh. She was always like this! One moment she seems into me, the next she's completely cool and calm. Another time she's angry! How am I supposed to keep up with her emotions?!
"I would pay a 10,000 won to know what you're so angrily thinking about." Jennie blinked and saw Jisoo staring at her with an amused smiled.
Jennie rolled her eyes and sarcastically said, "Why? Are my thoughts that cheap?"
Jisoo chuckled and said softly, "No, but I can only spare that much."
Jennie felt guilt crash into her. No! What are you doing?! You shouldn't feel guilty!
She looked away. "Well I don't need it. I was just cursing you."
"Me?! Wow....so you were thinking of me?" Jisoo leaned closer towards her.
